KitchenwareCompare publishes independent reviews and buying guides for kitchen equipment. This page explains how products are selected, how we evaluate them, and how our affiliate relationships work.
How products are selected for review
Products are selected based on what home cooks are actually searching for (search volume), coverage of different price points within each category (budget, mid-range, and premium), and the brand’s significance in the market. We don’t accept payment for inclusion in roundups or buying guides.
How we evaluate products
- Verified purchase review analysis: We analyse verified buyer reviews to identify patterns across hundreds of real-world experiences. Issues that appear repeatedly are weighted more heavily than isolated complaints.
- Specification comparison: We compare manufacturer specs across competing products to identify material differences in capacity, power, dimensions, and construction quality.
- Published testing data: Where professional test data from culinary publications or independent labs is available, we reference it.
- Personal ownership experience: Where the author has personally owned or used a product, this is noted explicitly in the review.
We are not a professional testing laboratory. We do not claim to conduct standardised lab tests unless explicitly stated in a specific review. Our strength is synthesising a large volume of real buyer experience alongside specification analysis.
Affiliate relationships and editorial independence
KitchenwareCompare participates in affiliate programmes including Amazon Associates. When you purchase through our links, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. These relationships fund the site and allow us to keep publishing, but they do not influence our recommendations. We recommend the same products we would recommend to a friend.
We do not accept payment for positive coverage, sponsored product placements, or PR samples in exchange for reviews.
How often reviews are updated
We update buying guides when a product is discontinued or significantly revised, when a stronger alternative enters the market, or when new information materially changes our assessment. Major updates are noted at the top of the post with a “last updated” date.
