Juicers: Reviews & Buying Guides

A juicer is one of the few kitchen machines where the mechanism matters more than the badge on the front. Fast centrifugal juicers and slow cold press juicers make measurably different juice from identical produce, keep it for different lengths of time, and cost very different money. This is where I work out which type belongs in which kitchen, and which specific machines earn the price.

My top pick

The Ninja NeverClog JC151 is the cold press juicer I recommend first: it gets through fibrous produce without jamming and costs roughly half what the premium machines do. The full field — including the faster centrifugal alternative and the premium hands-free option — is in the juicer buying guide.

Buying a first juicer? Read the masticating vs centrifugal comparison before anything else — that one decision sets your budget, your morning routine, and how long the juice keeps. Then the buying guide for specific machines. If celery is the whole reason you are buying, skip ahead to the celery guide, because that is the single job cheap centrifugal juicers do worst.
