Believe it or not, one of the toughest things for a standard juicer to grind up (aside from pits) is celery. This vegetable packs a lot of nutrition, but it is also pretty bland, which makes it a perfect option for juicing.
Sadly, celery, especially good celery, is also extremely fiberous, meaning that you need the right type of juicer for it, otherwise you are going to have some problems.
This is what the purpose of this article is. We are going to be reviewing some of the best juicer options currently on the market with the goal of finding the best juicer for celery. Our personal recommendation would be the Omega MM900HDS Slow Masticating Celery Juicer.

A Spotlight On Some of The Best Juicer for Celery 2023:
Omega MM900HDS Slow Masticating Celery Juicer
To begin this review list, we are going to be taking a look at the Omega MM900HDS Slow Masticating Celery Juicer. We wanted to start this list off properly by showing you a really powerful, high-end juicer.
The best option that we could come up with to show you off is the Omega. This isn’t a household name or anything like that, but if you were to use the juicer, you would end up wondering why they aren’t because it is a fantastic product.
This is intended to be a powerful juicer (it needs to be to be able to easily grind up celery after all), and there is no better way to tell this than by looking at the motor on this juicer.
Juicers have their motor’s power output measured in RPMs (at least that is usually how it goes). This juicer boasts an impressive, at least given the type of juicer that it is, 80 RPM. RPM refers to the number of times the blade spins per minute when the juicer is in use. While 80 may not sound especially high, keep in mind that this style of juicer is meant to work slowly and thoroughly, so 80 is actually a pretty good number.
Of course just in general, this is a high-performing, durable juicer. It is going to last for quite a while and more importantly, it will provide roughly the same level of performance for the entire time that you have it.
There are two things that we want to caution you about when it comes to the Omega. The first is that, as you might imagine, this juicer operates slowly. This isn’t surprising to anyone who is familiar with masticating juicers (or who read the name of the product). Still, we did want to make sure that everyone reading this review understands that this isn’t the option to go with if you want something that operates quickly.
The second issue that we want to discuss has to do with its price. Sadly, this juicer does end up being a bit pricier than we would ideally want. Is it super expensive? No, there are definitely more expensive options out there, but for close to $350, this is probably a bit too expensive for some, but on the other hand, we have to admit that the quality of the product warrants it.
- Very consistent.
- Goes slowly and thoroughly to really get all the juice.
- Tough, durable motor and blades.
- Achieves 80 RPM.
- Fairly expensive as far as juicers go.
- Does operate very slowly.
Hamilton Beach Juicer Machine
If you want something a bit more affordable, but that still provides fairly reliable performance, then this next product may be the one for you. In this review, we are going to be looking at the Hamilton Beach Juicer Machine.
Now, unlike with that last review, the maker of this next product, Hamilton Beach is quite a famous brand, and we are sure that all of you are familiar with them. Given that they make so many different kinds of kitchen appliances, it isn’t surprising that they offer juicers as part of their impressive array of products.
The Hamilton Beach Juicer Machine is such a good option because it is a very heavy-duty juicer that also happens to be quite affordable, which is rare for a kitchen appliance.
This is a very noisy juicer and a quick look at how much power it outputs will quickly tell you why that is. With an 800 watt motor and a similarly high RPM output, the Hamilton Beach Juicer Machine is able to handle just about any juicing job that you can throw at it, and of course, it absolutely tears though celery.
When you are done using it, you will be glad to know that this juicer ends up being extremely easy to clean. Everything comes apart very easily and basically every single component can be cleaned in a dishwasher.
Now, we have mentioned quite a few good things about this juicer in our review, but probably the most impressive thing about the Hamilton Beach is how little it ends up costing you. You might assume that this is quite a pricey option all things considered, but that doesn’t end up being the case here. This juicer only ends up being priced at around $70, which is very good for a juicer of this quality.
- Every component is dishwasher safe.
- Powerful motor rated for 800 watts.
- High RPM.
- Large feed chute.
- High RPM and high wattage motor produces a lot of noise.
HOMEVER Celery Juicer
The next juicer that we want to look at is the HOMEVER Celery Juicer. Now, those readers who have been following along diligently with our review list will no doubt remember that the first option that we reviewed was the Omega MM900HDS.
We quite liked that masticating juicer, but we also noted that it was on the pricier side. Well, the HOMEVER has a very similar design, and it offers similar performance, all while being quite a bit easier on your wallet. In our view, this makes it a natural option for inclusion on our best juicer for celery list.
As you have come to expect from these types of juicers, they do a very good job of thoroughly extracting every bit of juice and every single nutrient from your fruits and veggies. Also, because it is a slow acting masticating juicer, it obviously does a great job of slowly grinding up the tough fibres found inside celery, which ensures that the juicer should last for quite a while.
One of the best things about the HOMEVER is how much cheaper it is. It has a price tag of around $120, given or take a few dollars. On its own that doesn’t scream “affordable,” but you have to really consider the quality of the juicer. Given that this is a fairly high-quality masticating juicer, the fact that it is over $100+ cheaper than the last masticating juicer is a really big point in favor of this particular option.
The only real problem with this juicer that we feel a need to mention has to do with the feed chute on this juicer. For those of you who don’t know what this is, the feed chute is the part of the juicer where you put in your fruits and vegetables. A large feed chute because it minimizes the amount of work that you have to do when it comes to prepping the food before you start juicing.
- Very good value for the price.
- Slow juicer extras every ounce of juice.
- Makes quick work of celery.
- Comes in a variety of sizes (up to 12 cups).
- Feed chute could afford to be a bit bigger.
SIVERY Masticating Juicer
For the next review on our list, we wanted to look at a very affordable juicer option in the form of the SIVERY Masticating Juicer.
So far on this best juicer for celery review list, we have only reviewed one option that we would say qualifies as “affordable,” (the Hamilton Beach option that we reviewed). Given that everyone is trying to be a bit more money conscious these days, we wanted to make sure that we included at least one more affordable option on our list.
Given what we have said about this option, your first question is obviously going to be how much (or rather how little) this juicer costs. You can expect it to end up costing you less than $50, which makes it the most cost effective juicer on this list.
Throw in that the performance that you get from this appliance is fairly good (it is also noteworthy that this is a masticating juicer, which usually cost more) and you have a great, budget friendly appliance.
An issue that we want to talk about when it comes to this juicer has to do with how difficult it can be to clean this juicer. Cleaning isn’t a thing that many people think of when buying an appliance, but you have to remember that with juicers, you have to clean them quite often because the sugar can start to rust away the interior of the juicer.
With some juicers, cleaning is quite easy, but that isn’t the case here and this one ends up being a bit of a hassle to properly clean. Still, the SIVERY Masticating Juicer ends up offering good juicing performance for one of the lowest priced around, which means that it is still worth considering.
- Cheapest celery juicer on our list.
- Very efficient juicing for a low price.
- Simple to use; push button controls.
- Fairly difficult to pull apart for cleaning.
Breville BJE830BSS Cold XL Centrifugal Juicer
For the very last review on our best juicer for celery list, we are going to finish off this list with a product that is similar to the product that we looked at way back at the start of our review list.
The juicer that we are reviewing is the Breville BJE830BSS Cold XL Centrifugal Juicer. Breville is another very popular brand for kitchen appliances and as you would expect, the appliances that they do make are quite good. This is a very high-end juicer and a great appliance for ending off our review list.
Before getting into how the BJE830BSS Cold XL Centrifugal Juicer performs, we want to first talk about the overall great design of this juicer, since that is one of the major strongpoints of this appliance.
We have mentioned before on this article how concerned some people are about the durability of their juicer. Well, you don’t need to have those concerns with this Breville juicer because of just how incredibly well-made it is. With its solid stainless steel casing and high-quality blades, it will simply last for a very long time.
There are two things that we need to mention before we finish off this review. The first is that this is a centrifugal juicer. This means that instead of slowly grinding up the celery (or whatever fruit or veggie you use), a fast spinning blade quickly chops up and grinds the juice.
This has the benefit of being much quicker. The downside is that while it produces a lot of juice, it doesn’t produce quite as much as a masticating juicer would, so that is a drawback that you need to consider.
- Designed to last for a while.
- Offers good juice yield for a centrifugal juicer.
- Works to grind up fruits and veggies very quickly.
- Has the power and durability to juice celery with ease.
- Doesn’t produce quite as much juice as a masticating juicer.
- Also fairly pricey.
Juicer for Celery Buying Guide
Picking out a juicer isn’t all that tough on its own, but what makes it potentially tougher is the fact that there are quite literally thousands of juicers out there.
Just looking through Amazon will quickly show you just how many juicers there are out there. Why does this matter? Well, it makes it hard to pick out those options that are actually worth the money.
We don’t need to tell you that there are a lot of (and we do mean a lot) very bad appliances out there. There are appliances that break after a few months, appliances that don’t deliver the performance that you need, and much more.
In this article we hope to make your life easier by both reviewing some reliable juicers that you can use, as well as going over what you need to know in order to buy one of those juicers all on your own.
Why You Need A Special Juicer
The first thing that we want to cover in this buying guide is why you even need a special juicer for celery in the first place. We touched on this earlier on in the article, but we wanted to dedicated an entire section to it in our buying guide.
Celery is a great addition to any homemade smoothie or juice. It is surprisingly rich in various vitamins and nutrients, but it is quite bland and difficult to eat on its own.
So, getting it into a juice alongside some tastier items like fruit is a great idea. At the same time, celery can also be quite difficult to juice properly. The reason for this, as we said earlier, is because of the fibres inside the celery.
These tough fibres can actually dull the blades inside some juicers. This is why, unless you want to have to replace your juicer after just a few months, you need the sort of tough appliance that we reviewed on our list.
What To Look For In A Tough Juicer
Naturally, after reading what we wrote above, your next question is likely to be, what exactly goes into finding a tough juicer. We are going to explain just that in this next section of the guide.
Masticating or Centrifugal
The very first thing that we should talk about are the two main types of juicers. As you may recall from our review list, there are generally speaking, two different types of celery juicers.
The first type is the masticating juicer, and the second type is the centrifugal juicer. We didn’t really get a good chance to explain what each type is in our review list, so let’s do it now.
Centrifugal juicers are the faster of the two, they work by spinning an internal blade extremely quickly in order to quickly chop and pulp fruits and veggies. While they are a very common type of juicer, and for good reason, they probably aren’t the juicer type that we would recommend.
Don’t get us wrong, centrifugal juicers can do an amazing job, but because of how tough celery can be to juice, the primary choice should be a masticating option. Masticating juicers use essentially a slow grinding motion to extract juice from fruits and veggies. The slow, grinding method works well with celery for two reasons.
First off, it ensures the maximum amount of juice and nutrients are taken from the food. Secondly, it is a more powerful method for juicing, so even tough foods like celery are grinded up with ease.
Easy To Clean
The other major thing that we would recommend when it comes to buying a good juicer is to get one that you can trust is easy to clean. Cleaning your juicer regularly is extremely important, but it can be quite annoying to do, so finding a juicer that can be easily taken apart and put into a dishwasher is important.
