Best Non Stick Pan Without Teflon

Last Updated July 6, 2021

Best Non Stick Pan Without Teflon

While non stick pans can be very helpful in the kitchen, a lot of non stick pans on the market still use Teflon or other chemical-based coatings.

No matter how well-made these coatings may be, they do start to breakdown and leach into your food. So, you either have to accept that or get used to constantly replacing cookware.

In this article, we plan to make your life a whole lot easier by reviewing a selection of good cookware that manages to be both non stick, while not relying on nasty, harmful chemicals.

If you are in a hurry for some reason, we would tell you that the best non stick pan without Teflon would be the CSK Copper Non Stick Frying Pan.

Ozeri Stone Earth Frying Pan

To start off our review list, we wanted to review a very specific type of cookware. Specifically, we wanted to review a single piece of cookware that was inexpensive, well-made, and most importantly of all, it had to have a natural non-stick coating. The option that we found that suits that criteria best is the Ozeri Stone Earth Frying Pan.

This is a frying pan that uses German technology to deliver, among other things, reliable non-stick cooking performance. You may be curious what this pan uses to replace the traditional Teflon non-stick chemical.

Well, that is actually what is so unique about the Ozeri Stone Earth Frying Pan. It has a coating that is made from stone-derived material. So, the coating is both effective and also 100% natural as well (for those who don’t know, things like stone and ceramic have some built-in non-stick properties).

Aside from the coating how does this cookware work? The answer is quite well. It heats quite evenly, and it has some other nice features like a handle that stays cool to the touch. All of this is even more impressive when you remember that this is an affordable piece of cookware that only costs you around $30 to $35.

We understand that this doesn’t sound “cheap” and that you can find $20 pieces of cookware out there. But trust us when we say that this is a very reasonable piece for a well-made pot or pan.

While the stone coating works, we do have some concerns when it comes to the potential durability and longevity of the coating. As we said earlier on, this is a fairly affordable piece of cookware and whenever you see cheap cookware, you have to be careful because they tend to not last all that long. At the very least, you are likely to end up with about a year’s worth of use out of this cookware, which is quite good for how cheap it is.

Pros
  • Fairly affordable option.
  • Nice, simple piece of singular cookware.
  • Delivers even heating across bottom.
  • Durable, but still lightweight aluminum design.
Cons
  • The stone derived coating doesn’t last that long.

CSK Non-stick Red Frying Pan

For the next review on our list looking for the best non stick pan without Teflon we are going to be reviewing the CSK Non-stick Red Frying Pan. If you read through the first review on our list, then this next one is going to seem quite similar because the CSK Frying Pan is extremely similar to the first pan that we reviewed. This is because this pan is also very good, while still being affordable.

The first question that you are likely to have is how exactly this pan manages to prevent food from sticking without relying on a chemical coating. Well, this is a granite pan, meaning that it uses a coating derived from that material (granite is similar to stone in terms of non-stick properties).

The coating is free of any unnatural chemicals; this includes PTFE, Teflon, and much more. If you are at all concerned about the potential issues with chemical-based non-stick coatings then you will have no issues with this pan.

At the same time, the coating isn’t the only thing that matters when it comes to cookware, there are plenty of other factors that you need to consider. As is the case with a lot of high-quality cookware, this is made from aluminum. The die-cast aluminum used in this cookware does a great job of both being very durable and also conducting heat. The granite coating also helps to add some long-term durability to the cookware.

There are two problems with this frying pan that we feel we absolutely need to mention to anyone considering getting this frying pan. The first issue has to do with the wooden handle on this pan.

Wood is an odd choice for a handle because it has a tendency to retain heat when exposed to higher temperatures, which is obviously less than ideal. The second issue is a bit more substantial, which is that the coating on this pan doesn’t do so well at higher temperatures for long periods of time.

So, if you are going to cook with this pan at higher temperatures, then try to limit it to short bursts and definitely don’t put it in the oven.

While these are some serious flaws, we would still say that this is a pan that is worth considering because at the end of the day, it is fairly affordable and offers good performance for the price.

Pros
  • Granite coating adds natural non-stick properties.
  • Granite is also fairly durable.
  • Die-cast aluminum is very strong.
  • Aluminum base conducts heat well.
Cons
  • Wooden handle can get a bit too hot.
  • Coating doesn’t do well at higher temperatures.

CSK Copper Non Stick Frying Pan

The next piece of cookware that we are going to be reviewing on our best non stick pan without Teflon review list, we are going to be doing another review of cookware from CSK, but despite the same brand name, rest assured that this is a very different product overall.

As you are going to see in this review, those of you looking for a high-quality, safe non stick pan are going to be well-served by the CSK Copper Non Stick Frying Pan.

As is always the case with our reviews, the first and most important thing that we want to discuss is exactly what makes this particular piece of cookware qualify as a non stick option.

In this case, the reason why your food doesn’t stick to this pan is in the name. This is made using pure copper on the interior part of the cookware. Cookware is another one of those materials that has a lot of natural properties that reduce sticking. Add in the general design of this pan, and you have a very effective piece of cookware.

When it comes to the rest of the cookware, it is very standard and not much will stand out, especially if you have read the previous review involving CSK.

For example, this particular frying pan, like all of their other cookware, is made using an aluminum base. Aluminum, as you all know by now, is so good in cookware because it heats evenly, and it isn’t as weak as you would assume. This cookware in particular is equipped with a very thin base to help make it even easier to use and to aid in even heat dispersion.

As you can probably guess from this review, we are extremely big fans of the CSK Copper Non Stick Frying Pan. However, we want to talk about one flaw that really stands out as being worth mentioning.

This has to do with the tendency for this frying pan to warp quite easily. What exactly are we talking about, you may ask. Well, as we said earlier on in the review, this is quite a thin frying pan, which means that if you aren’t careful, it can warp a bit.

The reason why we rank this pan so highly in spite of this issue is because at the end of the day, the pan is still usable even if it warps, it just becomes a bit less convenient is all.

Pros
  • Comes with a lid.
  • A very light frying pan.
  • Comes in a wide variety of sizes.
  • Thin base heats extremely evenly.
  • Natural copper interior protects against sticking.
Cons
  • Pan bottom can warp quite easily.

COOKER KING Ceramic Non Stick Frying Pan Set

The next cookware option that we want to review on this list is extremely unique because it is the first entry on our list that isn’t just a single piece of cookware.

Rather, as you can see from the product name, the COOKER KING Ceramic Non Stick Frying Pan Set is the first cookware set on our entire review list (although we will be reviewing one more to end it off, so don’t stop reading here). If you are looking for multiple pieces of cookware instead of just a single piece, then this set may be the perfect option for you.

What makes the cookware in this set good for cooking is the ceramic coating. Ceramic is a fragile material (we will mention the issue this creates later on in the review), but it does a good job of creating a non stick cooking surface without forcing you to use lubricants like butter, oil, spray, etc. Furthermore, because it doesn’t use any sort of a non stick coating, this is oven safe cookware (it can sustain temperatures of close to 500 degrees Fahrenheit).

The cookware set itself isn’t particularly varied, it is just made up of three separate frying pans of different sizes. However, as we said earlier, this is the first set on this review list, so we are willing to overlook a lack of variety. We really wanted to make sure that this list catered to as many people as possible and we know that not everyone is in the market for just individual pans.

One thing that we would caution you about before you consider buying this frying pan set is the fact that ceramic as a material is extremely easy to scratch. While this sounds like a very serious issue, you can mitigate it quite a bit by avoiding using metal utensils when cooking (try sticking to rubber utensils). While the cookware is actually advertised as being specifically scratch resistant, it really doesn’t end up being the case unfortunately.

Pros
  • Ceramic coating works very well at preventing food sticking.
  • Decent size variety in set.
  • Comes with three pans in total.
  • Overall great pans to cook with.
Cons
  • Ceramic is very prone to scratching.

All-Clad Anodized Non Stick Cookware Set

For the final review on our best non stick pan without Teflon list, we are once again going to be reviewing a set of cookware as opposed to an individual piece. The cookware that we will be looking at is the All-Clad Anodized Non Stick Cookware Set.

Easily the best thing about this cookware is how heavy duty it is. So far on our list we have reviewed a lot of thinner cookware, so having a set that is both extremely durable and exceptionally well-built is handy.

Once again, this is a good cookware set, but we have some issues that we feel need to be mentioned before we move on with the article. The first issue is that this cookware set costs a lot more than it probably should.

While $60 (the price of this set roughly) isn’t too bad in terms of price, given that you only get 2 pieces of cookware, it is probably a bit too expensive, even if the cookware in question is very good. Secondly, the cookware is fairly bulky and quite heavy, which isn’t a huge deal but it is something to think about.

Pros
  • Meant to last for a while.
  • Extremely well-made.
  • Heats nicely.
  • Wide cooking surface.
Cons
  • More expensive than your average cookware set.
  • Each pan is fairly bulky.

Non Stick Frying Pan Buying Guide

Best Non Stick Pan Without Teflon

In the next section of this article, we have put together a buying guide that will help to explain a few different concepts that we think are important. This will include things like the dangers of chemical coatings on non stick pans, as well as some other general tips that will help you when it comes to buying good cookware for your kitchen.

Why To Avoid Teflon (and other chemical coatings)?

We think that the best way to start off this buying guide is by addressing the elephant in the room, which is why you want to avoid Teflon and other similar chemical coatings on your cookware. There are a few different reasons why this is a good idea, some of which you may be familiar with and some of which you may not have thought of.

Health Issues

Obviously, the main concern is potential health issues. As the chemical coating in the cookware begins to degrade, it can leech into your food. While this isn’t an immediate concern, it is something to consider and there are studies indicating the sorts of chemicals used in non stick coatings (this includes Teflon) can be associated with negative health effects.

Effectiveness

The real reason why we would tell people to avoid chemical non stick coatings is because they just don’t work. They tend to wear off much quicker than most advertise (they usually advertise that you get over a year of use out of the cookware, but the reality is closer to 3 months) and they can get damaged easily from utensils or scrubbing.

Finding Good Cookware In General

We also promised to help you figure out what goes into buying good cookware. While we assembled quite a good list above, we understand that you aren’t always going to be able to reference our best non stick pan without Teflon article yourself, so it is a good idea to have some base knowledge about how to pick out cookware.

In general, the main thing that you need to look for is the proper material. Different cookware materials have different strengths and weaknesses. For example, stainless steel is a fairly common material (although you didn’t see any stainless steel cookware on this list because it has an annoying tendency to stick). Its advantages are that it is very durable, but this also makes it fairly unwieldy.

While there are a few materials that you could realistically go with and be satisfied with, those of you who read our review list will likely notice the one material that really stands out, which is aluminum. We did explain quite a few times why aluminum was such a good and common option, but in case you skipped right to the buying guide first, we will explain it again.

Having an aluminum base for your cookware is good because it heats evenly, and it is fairly light. Add in the fact that it is also pretty durable, and it is extremely easy to see why so much cookware uses aluminum.

Conclusion

If you want to get some of your questions answered, then just leave a question in the comments section of our best non stick frying pan without Teflon article.

What Is Copper Chef?

Copper Chef is one of the biggest names in American cookware, and for good reason. The brand is known for its best-selling, high-performance pots, pans, and utensils. With various premium collections of non-stick, scratch-resistant, easy-to-clean professional-grade pans, Copper Chef is a well-respected and much-loved brand.

Boasting the ‘Cookware Product of The Year 2018’ with one of their previous star designs, the 9.5 inch Deep Dish Square Pan from their signature collection, Copper Chef is undoubtedly a master of its craft.

The Signature Collection and Black Diamond Collection were both a roaring success for the cookware giant, and the expectation is for this latest model to be the same.

Partnership with Jet TilaJet Tila Copper chef

This brand’s reputation reached new heights when they teamed up with super chef Jet Tila, whose name alone inspires confidence in the quality of any product.

The celebrity chef and owner of multiple world-renowned restaurants is a huge name in modern cuisine, so it’s no surprise that people are excited to try his cookware in their kitchens.

Jet Tila’s collaboration with the Copper Chef brand is aimed at creating a cookware line that allows every at-home chef to feel like a professional in their kitchen, with premium quality utensils designed by an expert.

The combination of top-grade features traditionally found in different types of cooking utensils into one pan has the potential to revolutionize the way people prepare their meals.

The Copper Chef Titan Pan Review

The Titan Range is the newest feather in Copper Chef’s hat. This tri-ply design comes in two sizes: the 9.5 inches and the 11-inch pan. There is also a fry pan (eight inches), which can be bought individually or as part of a set.

It has been described as the next big thing in home cookware and has gathered a lot of support from some big industry names, but here are the simple facts to help you decide how good it really sounds and whether it is worth the money.

What Is It Made Of?tri ply material

The craftsmanship that has gone into designing the Copper Chef Titan Pan is really quite something.

Additionally, the tri-ply construction incorporates a layer of aluminum for fast heat conduction, two layers of stainless steel (one on the top and one on the bottom, and a non-stick coating for the ultimate nonstick cookware set.

Jet Tila explains that while the layer of aluminum conducts heat, the stainless steel provides heat retention, which is vital for any professional-grade cookware set.

While the non-stick surface does nothing for the heat, it does make it far easier to clean, requiring nothing more than mild soap and warm water to get the job done.

The tempered glass lid lets you keep an eye on whatever you have cooking away and is included in the purchase of any variation of the pan, including the fry pan.

All products in the Copper Chef Titan range are completely PFOA-free.

How Durable Is It?

As an added bonus, unlike similar heavy-duty pans made

copper chef scratch resist

from cast iron, the Titan Pan and lid are both dishwasher safe if you are too full after dinner to wash up by yourself.

Because the layers of stainless steel are made with diamond-infused technology, the titan pan is scratch-resistant, meaning you can use metal utensils. This is helpful as it means you don’t need to replace all your cooking gear just to accommodate your new pan.

How Is the Heat Resistance?

These pans are heat resistant up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit (roughly 230 degrees Celsius).

The tempered glass lid is heat resistant up to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (roughly 170 degrees Celsius), so be careful with the temperature if you intend to keep it covered in the oven.

This maximum temperature limit is comparatively low to similar designs, so be wary of using them on an open flame or a particularly hot oven.

What About Style?

copper chef make

Copper Chef pans are known for not only

their versatility but also their sleek, professional look. The stainless steel tri-ply design looks impressively streamlined and attractive. The classic look can fit effortlessly into any kitchen, and with the right care can stay looking good as new for quite some time.

It is also possible to upgrade to a different style of lid with white glass or another customized option. You can also find plenty of interesting lids online to use compatibly with your pan without breaking the bank.

While it’s hard to imagine a kitchen where this elegant design wouldn’t fit in, it’s nice to know you can mix it up a little should you feel the desire.

How Can the Copper Chef Titan Pan be Used?

This pan is designed to be versatile, with one pan to rule them all. With that in mind, there is really very little you can’t do with the Titan Pan.

Copper Chef is renowned for its multifunctional nonstick cookware, and this new model is no exception.

In the Oven

This model is designed to be completely oven safe and maintain a consistent cooking performance regardless of the style. With a three-inch depth, this makes the smaller pan ideal for pasta bakes, casseroles, or any other baked in the oven dish, and the 11-inch pan, which also has a three-inch depth, makes an excellent small-size roasting pan.

The fry pan is also oven safe, making it perfect for stove to oven transfers without having to get another pan dirty.

As mentioned above, when using this model in an oven, keep track of the temperature to avoid overheating.

On the Stove

The Titan Pan is designed for use on any type of stovetop. Stainless steel pans conduct heat extremely well no matter the heat source, so rest assured you can achieve an even cook.

One of the best uses for the Copper Chef Titan Pan is searing meat. In the recipe book created by Jet Tila specifically for the Titan Pan, he recommends a medium heat and a touch of oil. The non-stick coating works a treat when searing, but the small drop oil helps lock in the moisture and let out the flavor.

Remember, the diamond-infused technology allows you to use metal utensils when cooking on the stove, but always work with care to prolong the life of your pan and avoid heavy or clumsy contact to damage or scratch the surface.

Healthy Cooking

Jet Tila Recipe book

The non-stick coating is not only useful for cleaning; it also means you can significantly reduce the amount of oil and butter used when making a meal.

Jet Tila puts a lot of focus on healthy cooking in his Titan Pan recipe book and explains how to get the most out of your nonstick cookware, whilst using the least amount of fat.

Of course, everything in moderation is allowed, and it is recommended that you don’t cook entirely without oil or butter on these pans.

Steaming

steaming basket

The Copper Chef Titan Pan also comes with a steaming basket. Steaming is a very popular way to cook amongst the health-conscious, and it couldn’t be easier than with this pan. Check out some of the steamed meals in Jet Tila’s recipe book.

The steaming basket also works for crisping. There are some great recipes using this feature explained in the cookbook.

What Packages Are Available?

The Copper Chef Titan Pan comes in a six-piece set, including:

  • 9.5 inch OR 11 inch Titan Pan
  • Compatible tempered glass lid
  • 8-inch fry pan
  • Stainless steel steaming basket
  • 5.5-inch Santoku knife
  • Recipe book by Jet Tila

You can also opt for the 10 piece set, which includes:

  • Both sizes of Titan Pan
  • Matching tempered glass lids
  • 8-inch fry pan and matching glass lid
  • 5.5-inch Santoku knife
  • Slotted spoon (Stainless steel)
  • Spatula (Stainless steel)

The 8-inch pan (fry pan) is also available independently.

Customer Reviews

Generally speaking, the feedback when customers review Copper Chef and the Copper Chef Titan Pan is overwhelmingly positive; however, there are a few points to take notice of.

“The tri-ply design is great, but the nonstick coating needs a little oil to be fully effective. I like to use a dry pan, so that was slightly disappointing. Otherwise, I love cooking with this Copper Chef pan.”

“I like that the materials are PFOA free and super easy to clean. I did, however, find the pan didn’t sear well on high heat. I’ll stick to a medium heat now, and it works fine.”

“The heat retention from the two layers of stainless around the aluminum is excellent; I always love the tri-ply design Copper Chef use. It doesn’t withstand heat as well as my cast iron pot, so I’m glad I have both.”

“The handle on my Copper Chef Titan Pan gets hot sometimes, so I need to be careful with it. The non-stick coating is a great cooking surface. I like the diamond-infused technology that lets me use my normal metal utensils.”

Overall Copper Chef Titan Pan Review

Is the Copper Chef Titan Pan Worth the Hype?

Throughout this review, the quality and performance of the Copper Chef Titan Pan were impressive, but not without fault. Below is a brief review of the standout pros and cons:

Pros

  • Tri-ply design allows for excellent heat conduction and retention
  • PFOA free
  • Very multifunctional and perform well in each role
  • The non-stick coating works efficiently when instructions are followed
  • Great for searing because of the textured surface of the pan
  • Great depth
  • Lives up to the Copper Chef name

Cons

  • Doesn’t have as high heat resistance as some other similar pans
  • The handle can get hot to the touch after a while
  • Although non-stick, cooking with a completely dry pan is not advised
  • Expensive to buy as an individual pan
  • Portrayed as the ultimate long-lasting pan, but without a good level of maintenance, this seems unlikely.
  • The lid tends to trap oil and is not as easy to clean as the Copper Chef Titan Pan itself.

Overall, these are minor issues, but not ones that should be ignored. Every cook is different and has their own priorities in the kitchen, so knowing all these little details can help determine if this is the one for you.

Top Tips to Take Away from This Copper Chef Titan Pan Review

The Quality is Impressive, but Not Infallible

Given the long-standing, irrefutable reputation of Copper Chef, Titan Pan is unlikely to be anything short of excellent. That being said, before deciding if it’s worth the money for you, consider the points stated above.

There is no doubt about the quality of the Copper Chef Titan Pan. The tri-ply, non-stick, professionally designed construction has the seal of approval of a true culinary legend, Jet Tila, and countless positive reviews from other industry experts.

The Price and Performance are Competitive, but not Incomparable

There is a lot of nonstick cookware on the market today for a similar price, if not a little less. The Copper Chef Titan Pan is a strong competitor in its field but may not be the unbeatable all-rounder it has been said to be.

The biggest downside is the heat resistance, as the limits are slightly lower than similar stainless steel pans.

It’s Definitely Durable, but Still Requires Care

Although the Copper Chef Titan Pan review is pretty solid, it is worth taking note of some simple things you can do to extend the lifespan and performance of the non-stick surface.

These pans are dishwasher safe, yes, but avoid using this option too often. Non-stick pans are designed to be easy to clean, and this one certainly is. The harsh clean of a dishwasher can strip the non-stick coating over time, so resist the temptation to chuck it in after every use.

Additionally, the same goes for using metal kitchen utensils with your Copper Chef Titan Pan. The non-stick functions may be backed up by some pretty sturdy diamond-infused tech, but that doesn’t mean you can go crazy with the knives directly on the surface daily.

Aside from damaging the integrity of the non-stick layer, you are far more likely to end up with scratches. Wooden or silicone utensils are a great alternative.

Final Thoughts

The Copper Chef Titan Pan is a great nonstick, multipurpose cooking tool.

For someone looking for a professional-grade pan with a sophisticated look and design, this is certainly worth the money.

For a person simply looking for a handy pot to keep around the house, there are less expensive models that perform on a similar level.

Buying one individually is far less cost-effective than opting for one of the packages; however, somebody interested in this type of product is sure to sway towards a matching set anyway.

As far as nonstick, durable cookware goes, Copper Chef is undeniably one of the best, and Chef Jet Tila’s expertise and influence are clear throughout the entire range. Any keen home chef is bound to love this excellent cookware.

FAQs

Does the Non-stick Coating Make a Difference?

The non-stick coating does make a difference, yes, but it doesn’t completely remove the need for oil or butter. Nonstick coating is designed to make pans easier to cook with and easier to clean; the reduced need for fat is a bonus.

Some people like to use zero oil when they cook, which is, of course, possible.

If your pan has a nonstick coating and you want to cook without any oil or butter, cook with medium heat and stir regularly with non-metal utensils and only hand wash your pan, even if it states it is dishwasher safe.

Can Copper Chef Pans Get Scratched?

Copper Chef designs their pans, including the Titan Pan, to be scratch-resistant. The diamond-infused design makes them robust and durable, but no pan can claim to be immune to all scratches over time.

The more care you take of your pans, when both cooking with and cleaning them, the longer they last and the less likely scratches are to appear.

One tip for protecting your surface from scratches (especially those with a non-stick coating) is never to use a rough sponge. Clean with soapy water and a microfiber cloth for the best results.

How Can I Stop Food Sticking to My Pans?

After a while, a lot of pots start showing signs of the non-stick feature failing. Some pots may not even have a high-quality nonstick surface, to begin with. This can be annoying, but it can also be remedied.

  • To revitalize your nonstick pan, follow these steps:
  • Mix baking soda (two tablespoons), water (one cup), and white vinegar (half a cup)
  • Pour it onto whatever nonstick surface you are trying to revive and mix it around a little
  • Put on the stove until the mixture is boiling, then leave it for roughly 10 more minutes
  • Remove, empty, and wash the pot as you normally would
  • Rub the surface lightly with vegetable oil to “re-season” the nonstick surface

Another French Roast, 100% Arabica bean. You may be starting to see a pattern here. This sumptuous and sustainable coffee delivers a full bodied experience with dark flavors like Clove and bittersweet dark chocolate

This is a really dark coffee and the beans have been specially selected to withstand a darker roast that really brings out the flavor and sweetness.

The authenticity and quality of the coffee beans are unquestionable here. If you’re in the market for a whole bean, organic, French roast, you cannot go wrong at this price point.

3. Stone Street Coffee Cold Brew Coarsely Ground Coffee

Yes, I know I said you need to freshly grind your own beans for the best flavor, but not everyone is going to have a grinder and sometimes it’s just easier to buy ground coffee. So if you are buying Ground Coffee, this is the best one for a French Press because of the coarse grind and strong flavor.

Even though it includes instructions for cold brewing, you can also use it for French press brewing. They use Dark-roasted Colombian Supremo beans which gives a fantastic nutty, chocolatey taste.

For a smooth and balanced coffee experience, this coffee has sweet notes and a low acidity level. It also has a one-way valve ensuring freshness while degassing. The Coffee is packaged in a resealable doypack which is great. Although, the coarse grinds may differ in size from fine to medium in some cases.

4. Koffee Kult Whole Bean Colombian Coffee – Road Dog Blend

We’re going artisan and staying dark as usual for this magnificent blend from the family owned Koffee Kult Coffee Roasters.

They specialize in a dark roast which delivers oil free beans with a smooth flavor and balanced acidity.

This is a highly aromatic blend that features a full body and is complemented by spicy, earthy notes and just a hint of nutmeg.

Because of the strong flavors this is an excellent coffee for a French Press. The packaging is not innovative, when it comes to keeping the coffee fresh after opening, unlike some of it’s rivals.

5. Death Wish Coffee Whole Bean Dark Roast

Now we’re talking! According to the manufacturer this is the “Worlds Strongest Coffee”. Now I can’t confirm or deny that claim, but if you’re looking for something to kick you into gear in the morning and still tastes great, this is the coffee for you.

The strength is due to the small batch, slow roasting process, which effectively doubles the amount of caffeine compared to other brands. No additional caffeine or other additives are added during the process.

To taste, this is a smooth, subtle and bold flavor with notes of Cherry and Chocolate, without bitterness. In addition, they offer a no questions asked refund policy. So why not give it a try.

Buying guide for the best coffee for French Presses

How big should the Coffee Grind be?

I know I’m starting to sound like a broken record now, but my advice if you want the best tasting coffee is to grind the beans yourself. This way you can experiment until you find a grind that suits your personal taste. If you need a coffee grinder, please check out our article on the ultimate kitchen essentials, for some recommendations.

As mentioned previously, we recommend a coarse grind. If you grind coarsely, the hot water will have more surface area to penetrate. During steeping, carbon dioxide gasses slowly accumulate in the water, making the brew tastier. This may take a bit trial and error, but one handy is that if the grounds are too fine it will be difficult to press the plunger and if they’re too coarse there will be very little resistance. Try to find the balance. If you want to get really detailed on this, I found this great coffee grind chart from homegrounds.

Smaller grounds soak in less water, acids and oils directly from the bean and are extracted in a shorter period of time. In contrast, more extensive grounds require more time for extraction. For optimal flavor extraction, soak the grounds for approximately four minutes. Do not leave the coffee longer than this, as it will continue to brew and become too strong and essentially undrinkable. Just make enough for you and your guests or poor any extra into a flask for later.

When adding your water the simplest way to calculate how much coffee to use is the 1-10 ratio. Again this is completely down to personal preference as you may like your coffee stronger or weaker, but it is a good starting point. A handy way to quickly calculate this is to use your coffee grinder. If your grinder holds 50 grams, you should add 500 grams of water to the French Press.

Here’s a really good video we found to get the best from your French Press.

Is there a specific type of roast to use for French press coffee?

Personal preference is obviously the major factor here, but we highly recommend a dark or at least medium to dark roast if you’re using a French Press. There is a perception that darker roasts can be bitter, but that’s really not the case if you use a plunge pot and especially if you choose a great coffee bean from the list above.

Generally speaking, French press brewing is best performed with medium-dark and dark roasts due to their higher oil content. The different roast temperatures and roast times of coffee beans are listed below.

Light:
Beans that have been light roasted have a brown color and produce coffee that tastes distinctly acidic with a grainy, soft body. No oil is present on the beans’ surface; they are dry.

Medium:
Medium-roasted beans are also dry and oil-free, like light-roasted beans. Nonetheless, it compares to a smoother, more balanced coffee that lacks a grainy taste. Besides having a medium brown color, the beans are also acidic.

Medium-dark:
In addition to being darker than previous roasts, these beans will have noticeably more oil on the outside. The coffee is smooth and balanced in medium-dark roasts with a less acidic taste and has a mild spice flavor.

Dark:
Dark-colored beans almost look black when roasted in this way. Oil, and low acidity levels, contribute to the beans’ shiny surface. Dark-roasted coffee will have a strong, robust flavor, with Smokey, bitter, or burnt notes.

What’s The Best Packaging For Coffee?

What kind of packaging you use will affect how long your coffee stays fresh. By nature, coffee beans are highly perishable and should be stored in airtight containers. Paper bags without a seal are not the best way to store coffee.

Light, heat, excess moisture, and external odors can weaken the flavor of your carefully selected coffee, not to mention that the Beans also absorb these odors. If you want to preserve your Beans’ taste and shelf life, consider some of these packaging options.

Doypack:
An oval bottom and flat top characterize this type of packaging. It is designed to stand upright and to be small so that it can be stored easily. In addition, mesh bags often have a zipper near the top, making resealing the pack easier.

Quad seal bag:
These bags are sealed on all sides, hence their name. Because of their robust design, these bags can carry heavier weights of coffee. I like the fact that the bag keeps its shape and stands by itself. You might also find a resealable zipper built into the bag.

Flat-bottom bag:
In some ways, this bag is similar to a quad seal bag, but the flat bottom, as its name suggests, and fold-over top make it different. Several bags may have integrated zippers, while others may be designed to stand upright without assistance due to their modular shape.

Canister:
The opaque, airtight canisters, made from steel or plastic, ensure that the Beans remain shielded from light, oxygen, and moisture. However, there is one disadvantage of vacuum-sealing: the beans must be degassed before vacuum sealing to prevent them from expanding or exploding. As a result, the beans are initially losing flavor before they are packaged in tins.

A more traditional packaging option is a side-fold bag, which does not include a zipper. Rolling or folding the tops and securing the top with a sticker or tin tie is usually an effective way to close them securely.

If you want to purchase coffee in this bag, we recommend purchasing smaller quantities because this type of seal is not airtight. The front of most degassing pouches now comes with a one-way valve. A valve like this allows carbon dioxide gases to be released while preventing oxygen and other contaminants from entering, causing the packaging to remain fresh and flavored.

Bottom Line:

I really hoped you enjoyed this article. French Press coffee is my absolute favorite when I’m at home and it’s so simple to use, to get a great tasting coffee. Everyones taste differs and there are a huge amount of options available, but hopefully this will help guide you towards getting the best tasting coffee for your French Press. Please leave a comment if you have any questions.

T-fal Excite Oven Safe Cookware Set

To properly kick off this review list, we are going to be taking a look at the T-fal Excite Oven Safe Cookware Set. If you are one of those who are at all familiar with kitchen brands, then the name T-fal is going to instantly be one that is familiar to you.

They are undoubtedly one of the most well-known and popular cookware brands out there, and it was only natural that they were going to be showing up on our best cookware for gas stove list (in fact, they will be showing up more than once). The first cookware set of theirs that we want to review is a moderately priced option.

While you won’t know this since this is the first review on our list, this cookware set from T-fal is actually quite unique because it is made almost entirely from aluminum. Usually, most cookware is made almost entirely from stainless steel, but that isn’t what’s going on here.

The use of aluminum does make the cookware a bit less durable than one would hope, but it also has some notable advantages. A clear example is the fact that this cookware set is extremely light. Likewise, aluminum is an amazing conductor of heat, so every piece in this set conducts heat extremely well.

Finally, despite being a cheaper T-fal set, it still includes the great thermo ring spot, which lets you know exactly when your cookware has reached temperature.

When we say that this is a moderately priced option, you may be curious what we mean. Well, this cookware set from T-fal only costs around $75 or so. In terms of cost, this marks the T-fal as one of the cheapest options that you are going to see on this review list. While you will see a cookware set that is cheaper, this is definitely still very affordable.

Pros
  • Thermo-ring spot makes cooking easier.
  • Lightweight aluminum design.
  • Heats evenly all the time.
Cons
  • Not one of T-fal’s best cookware sets.

All-Clad BD005707-R D5 Stainless Steel Cookware Set

If you can get past the rather long, incomprehensible name, you are going to find that the All-Clad BD005707-R D5 Stainless Steel Cookware Set is one of the absolute best cookware sets that is currently on the market.

If you don’t mind paying a high price for your cookware and you just want a certain level of quality, then you are going to want to heavily consider buying this cookware set because its quality is just unmatched by any other set that you are reasonably going to find.

What exactly is it that makes the All-Clad such a high-quality cookware set? Well, you can really take your pick.

The entire set is made from the highest quality stainless steel that we have seen in a home cookware set. With just a bit of maintenance on your part, we can easily see this cookware set lasting close to a lifetime, it is that good.

At the same time, it conducts heat very well because each piece of cookware in the set has an aluminum base, which conducts heater better than typical stainless steel. As a final sort of bonus, each piece of cookware has been coated with called starburst, which is a non-toxic coating that helps to infuse the cookware with non-stick properties.

Just in terms of quality and performance, there are no weaknesses in this cookware. The only issue has to do with the price, which we will be mentioning in a moment, and nothing to do with the quality of the cookware.

As we said way back at the beginning of this review, the main thing that you want to watch out for when it comes to this cookware is its extremely high price.

While the exact price can vary from time to time, it is consistently in the $600 to $700 range. That is very expensive for a home cookware set and while the quality of the set certainly helps to make the pill a bit easier to swallow, spending this much on any one product is going to be difficult for some.

It is ultimately up to you whether this particular cookware set’s quality makes it worth a purchase.

Pros
  • Cookware set comes with lots of varied pieces.
  • Brushed stainless steel gives it exceptional durability.
  • Aluminum base conducts heat exceptionally well.
  • No real weaknesses in the performance of the cookware.
  • Starburst coating helps make the cookware naturally non-stick.
Cons
  • An extremely expensive set of cookware.

KUTIME Pot and Pan Set

If you want something that is easy on your wallet, then you are in luck because the next cookware set that is being featured on this list because it is easily one of the most affordable cookware sets that you are going to find. The specific set that we are reviewing is the KUTIME Pot and Pan Set.

If you have been following along with our review list, then you have seen cookware sets in the $150 or $200 range. Being priced at only $50 roughly means that this set blows away anything else that we have looked at in terms of just pure affordability. So, if you want to save some money, then this is the cookware set to go with.

At the same time, you have to be careful to not let the price of this cookware set fool you, it is not a bad product in the slightest.

It is surprisingly well-made given that it is a decently large cookware set (the smallest size is 6 pieces large). Each piece of cookware has an aluminum base for evenly conducting heat (very important on a gas stove) and each piece is made from reliable stainless steel. There is also an added ceramic coating to add some extra non-stick capabilities.

The biggest issue with this cookware is related to its ceramic coating. The ceramic coating obviously makes it somewhat nonstick, but it also tends to scratch quite easily, especially if you use metal utensils when cooking.

Anyone who has used ceramic cookware before will know this. Naturally, you may be curious why we are featuring it on this list, but there are some good reasons why we are still reviewing it. This is an extremely cheap option and those of you who are careful with the cookware will likely get a lot of use out of it; finally, some of you may just not care about the scratching at all.

Pros
  • Very affordable price point.
  • Ceramic coating adds some non-stick properties to the cookware.
  • Good variety within the cookware.
  • Aluminum base can conduct gas heat well.
Cons
  • Scratches extremely easily.

Cuisinart 77-14N Chef’s Classic Cookware Set

Another brand that you may have heard of before if you have shopped for cookware or kitchen appliances before is Cuisinart.

As you might expect from such a prolific brand, they are generally reliable, and they also have quite a few options to pick from. In this review, we are going to be taking a look at one of their more reasonably priced options in the form of the Cuisinart 77-14N Chef’s Classic Cookware Set.

When it comes to this cookware set’s quality, we are certain that you will be impressed with what you get. As you can probably guess based on the appearance of this cookware, the main body of this Cuisinart cookware is made using high-quality stainless steel.

That is good for a variety of reasons, most of which you have seen before on this list, so we won’t repeat it again. Likewise, it also has an aluminum base, given how common that is on this list we also won’t explain why that is so important since we have done it so many times before.

Really, there isn’t actually a whole lot that stands out when it comes to this cookware set; that is, there aren’t any features that make you say “wow that’s amazing.” What this cookware set offers is good performance at a very good price, which we think makes it good enough to appear on this list.

Now, given all of the good aspects of this cookware that we have mentioned so far, you probably assume that it is quite pricey, but you would be mistaken. In fact, this is an extremely reasonably priced cookware set, especially when you take into account its great quality.

Depending on the exact size that you get (since there are multiple sizes offered) you will be paying either a little under or slightly over $200 for this cookware set. That is an extremely good price for what you get.

The biggest issue that we have with this cookware and what really holds it back in our view is the fact that this cookware doesn’t have any sort of natural non-stick qualities to it.

As such, if you don’t adequately lube up the cookware before you use it, you are going to have to deal with bits of food getting stuck to the pots and pans. It isn’t a huge deal, but it is definitely annoying, and it is something that should figure into your decision on whether to purchase this cookware or not.

Pros
  • Offers good quality at a reasonable price.
  • Has all the usual cookware features you look for.
  • Solid, durable design that conducts heat very well.
Cons
  • Has no natural non-stick properties.

T-fal Ultimate Hard Cookware Set

For the final review on our best cookware for gas stoves list, we are going to once again be reviewing a set of cookware from T-fal (we started off the list with some cookware from them, so it only feels right to end it off with that).

The T-fal Ultimate Hard Cookware Set does differ quite a bit from the first entry, which is why we want to do it as a separate review on this list.

The main difference is that this cookware set from them is designed to be a bit more solid overall. As a result, it does end up costing more (the set runs you around $200, as opposed to the roughly $75 of the other set), but you get a cookware set that is a lot tougher and that is going to last you a lot longer. Outside of that major change, this is still the same great T-fal cookware that you would expect from this company.

The two problems with this cookware set aren’t particularly serious, but they are worth talking about. The first issue is that of the two T-fal cookware sets that we have reviewed on this list, it is definitely the more expensive of the two.

The second issue is that this is an extremely large cookware set (it has 17 pieces in a single set). In fact, it is so large that we think it might be just a bit too much for some of you who already own some cookware and don’t want an entirely new set.

Pros
  • Has most of the recognizable T-fal features.
  • Large cookware set with lots of varied pieces.
  • Built to be both durable and fairly affordable.
Cons
  • The more expensive of the 2 T-fal cookware set.
  • 17 pieces might be too much for some of you.

Cookware For Gas Stoves Buying Guide

Best Cookware for Gas Stove

The next part of this article is going to be devoted to a buying guide where we will be going over the process of buying cookware for your gas cooktop.

Now, at the beginning, buying a cookware may not seem like something that is particularly hard to do, but it is also something that you can definitely do wrong if you don’t know what you are doing.

In this buying guide, you will find out the information that you need to know to buy exactly the perfect cookware for your gas stove.

Heat Conduction

By far the biggest issue that you need to deal with when it comes to gas stoves is that gas, unlike electric, doesn’t heat particularly evenly. As a result, the cookware doesn’t always heat as evenly as it should.

This is why you really need to emphasize heat conduction when it comes to your cookware. Cookware that conducts heat well will heat a lot more evenly, which helps to counteract the issues inherent in gas stoves.

Aluminum Bases

We just finished talking about the importance of heat conduction in cookware and this next point ties into that. By far the best material when it comes to heat conduction is aluminum (most would probably assume stainless steel, but it isn’t actually a good conductor at all).

If you were curious why it seemed like so many of the cookware sets on our best cookware for gas stove list had aluminum in them (if they weren’t made entirely of the stuff), this is why. Aluminum bases ensure even heating.

Non-Stick Coatings

While some people may not like the idea of having any sort of non-stick coating on their cookware, at the very least we would recommend putting in the effort to make sure that whatever material that your cookware is made out of has at least some natural non-stick properties.

The worst offender here would be stainless steel. While it is an extremely durable material, it is also one that has no innate non-stick properties to it, so food has a tendency to stick. A good option to look for is ceramic coated cookware, which is naturally non-stick.

Oven Safe

Before we end off this buying guide, we wanted to go over a point that seems very trivial, but that is important enough that it needs to be mentioned, which is the importance of oven safe cookware. Not all cookware that is made for gas stoves can be put into an oven.

This is usually the case with cheaper cookware that has coatings on it. Being able to stick your pots and pans in the oven can make it easier to cook a lot of different dishes and it is a must-have feature in our view.

Conclusion

  • Essential Utensils (Chefs knife, Spatula, Whisk, etc.)
  • Knife sharpener
  • Prep Bowls of all sizes
  • Cutting boards
  • Colander
  • Can Opener
  • Toaster & Kettle
  • Tongs
  • Can opener
  • Measuring Cups

Of course, a lot of the items named above are categories of Kitchen essentials. To ensure that you don’t miss any you need for your next meal, we broke down all of these kitchen essentials in detail below and gave you some of our recommendations.

Essential Cookware PiecesKitchenware essentials

Cooking and getting dinner on the table without the essential cookware pieces every kitchen needs?

Yep, that would be pretty hard – let’s take a look at what cookware pieces every kitchen needs.

Our all-in-one set recommendation: 23pc Full Essential Cookware Set

1. Skillet/Frying Pan

Eggs? Bacon? Omelets? We don’t think any of us could survive without our favorite fried classics, and that’s precisely why every kitchen needs a frying pan. You may also want to consider getting a Sauté Pan which is very similar but has a lid on top.

For most of our frying tasks, you can use them interchangeably. But this isn’t always the case, so make sure to check your recipe. And if you are a fry fanatic, you may want to consider adding both to your kitchen collection.

Our Skillet recommendation: Non-stick 2 piece skillet set for under $30

Our Sauté Pan recommendation: Chef’s Classic Stainless 5-1/2-Quart Saute Pan

2. Small Sauce Pan

A saucepan is one of the cookware essentials that you’ll probably use daily. Veggies, pasta, or rice are just a few of the classic foods you’ll need it for… and we don’t know about you, but we cook these very often and use our saucepans almost every day – so we’d assume that that’s the case for you too.

We recommend getting a small saucepan when you are just boiling water, making a sauce, or cooking yourself. Our next cooking essential will be what you need when you have guests around.

Most affordable high-quality saucepan: Stainless Steel, Aluminum-Clad Straight Sided Saucepan with Cover

Premium Recommendation: All-Clad Sauce Pan with Lid, 3-Quart, Silver

3. Large Stockpot

The large stockpot is essential for all great cooks. It’s also quite versatile as you can use it for stock, soup, chili, pasta, and so much more. It’s also one of those cooking essentials that you’ll NEED if you have lots of guests around – because there are not many things worse than not being able to fit all the food in a saucepan.

Affordable 16 Quart Stockpot with Lid, Stainless Steel (4.8 out of 5 stars based on 1990 reviews)

4. Dutch Oven

The Dutch oven is one of our favorite kitchen essentials because it’s so versatile. While it’s used primarily for braising, you can also use it as a skillet or a large saucepan… So if you do at one point need several of them because you have guests round, your Dutch oven can be the support.

We recommend that you go for something that’s at least 5 or 6 QT to make sure it’s big enough for all purposes.

Our recommendation: 6 quarts enameled cast iron Dutch oven.

5. Roasting Pan

Roast Chicken? Roast potatoes? Again, you will need a roasting pan for endless delicious recipes, especially if you love large meats and veggies. Also, keep in mind that roasting and braising CANNOT be interchanged, so you will definitely need a roasting pan for your kitchen.

Note: If you are vegetarian, we probably wouldn’t consider a roasting pan a kitchen essential. You can use alternatives like our next item instead!

Baking Equipment EssentialsBaking equipment

Who doesn’t love baking? Let’s look at what equipment is essential for a good baking session.

1. Baking Sheets

Whether you’re a vegetarian, a meat addict, or whatever your diet may be – baking sheets are essential. Most baking recipes you put into the oven will need them. Plus, some pizza, some chicken, etc., the list goes on and on.

Our recommendation: Check out this Affordable 3-piece baking sheet set

Note if you are a Pizza-lover: You may want to consider getting a Pizza tray too.

2. Muffin Pan

Nothing makes a weekend more fun than baking your favorite muffins – so don’t forget the muffin pan in your kitchen. Otherwise, you may end up with muffins that have a strange shape… And again, that destroys the presentation aspect (especially important when you’re showing off to Guests or on social media!)

Our choice: Perfect Results Premium Non-Stick Muffin Pan

3. Glass Measuring Jug

You might occasionally get away measuring by eye. But it can seriously mess up that recipe you found online and have never tried before. So, yes, a good glass measuring jug is essential.

Looking for an affordable option? OXO Good grips angled measuring cups is just $8.99 (at the time of writing)

4. Rolling Pin

Whether you’re cooking your own pizza or cookies, you’ll need a rolling pin to create a flat, circular shape. Rolling pins are very affordable too, check out the Farberware classic wood rolling pin, which costs just $12!

5. Mixing Bowls of All Sizes

When looking for mixing bowls, we suggest going for a set rather than purchasing them individually. This way, you can be sure to get several sizes for a more affordable price. Our recommendation is this set of 6 nested bowls.

Essential Kitchen Utensils

Now let’s look at which Kitchen Utensils are essential enough to make the cut (no pun intended).

1. Chef’s Knife

“The one thing in my kitchen that I can’t live without is a good, sharp chef knife. You can do anything with a good knife.” – Executive Chef Rahaf Amer of the Nashville-based wine bar and restaurant Salt & Vine.

A sharp chef’s knife won’t only make your life a lot easier – but it will also help you keep the beautiful presentation thanks to your smooth cuts. Again, if you’re having guests, it’s always nice to show off the presentation of your meals.

I have used many Chefs Knives over the years, but I’m very happy with the ZWILLING 8-inch chefs knife.

2. Metal & Silicone Spatulas

No kitchen is complete without spatulas.

Yes, that includes both metal and silicone spatulas. Why do you need both?

The metal spatula is essential for flipping and tossing endless foods such as eggs over easy, baked salmon, roasted veggies, and countless others.

You’ll need your silicone spatulas for folding egg whites into cake batter, or stirring boiling mixtures, so you’ll use them frequently too.

3. Whisk

Mixing ingredients with a whisk is one of the most fun (and essential) tasks in your kitchen. We recommend going for a medium-sized whisk like the one linked below, as this will be suited for most purposes.

Check out our favorite affordable whisk set here.

4. Tongs

Tongs are essential kitchen utensils where you don’t realize how much you need them until you start using them. You can use them to flip just about anything (meat, fish, etc.). Or you may use them to pick up foods like waffles, your Salad, or baked potatoes.

Check out our tongs recommendations here: Stainless Steel Kitchen Tongs

5. Slotted Spoon

Another essential kitchen utensil is the slotted spoon. It’s a large spoon that has little gaps in the middle.

When you’re cooking solid foods like meats, you’ll want to pick them up without the liquid. And that’s exactly what you’ll need the slotted spoon for, as it lets the liquid slip through its openings.

Our recommendation: MJIYA Silicone Slotted Serving Spoon

6. Stirring Spoons

Every kitchen needs an excellent stirring spoon. We recommend one that is heat resistant and dishwasher safe. Otherwise, you’ll find yourself having to invest in another too soon.

Our recommendation: Baker Boutique Nonstick Kitchen Spoon (2pc set)

7. Ladle

Your slotted spoons will not be suited to serve dishes like soups, stews, sauces, or any other liquid-based dish. For this, you’ll need a ladle, which is much longer than a traditional spoon, making it perfect for serving these use cases.

Check Out Amazons Top Rated Laddle

8. Measuring spoons

The good thing about a set of measuring spoons is that they come in all different sizes out of the box. And they’re perfect for measuring ingredients like oil or dry ingredients like sugar and salt. So, no matter what your diet, you will use your measuring spoons a lot.

Our recommendation: Affordable Premium Heavy Duty Measuring Spoons

9. Can Opener

Whether it’s beans, tuna, or whatever else it may be. Not opening a can of food is very frustrating, so we recommend investing in a strong can opener that will be enough for all your needs.

If you’re looking for a simple yet effective option, we recommend this can opener on Amazon.

Glasses & Cups

Wine glasses

Every kitchen needs an excellent selection of glasses and cups. Take a look at our list of essentials below.

1. Large, Medium & Small Glasses

Other Essential Kitchen Items

Of course, there’s a lot more to a good kitchen than Utensils and cookware. Let’s take a look at what other essential kitchen items every house needs.

Oven Gloves/Mitts

Don’t burn your hands! We all know the pain. So make sure to invest in a pair of oven gloves or mitts that will make taking your food out of the oven so much easier. And ensure that they are heat-resistant ones too.

Cutting boards

Having a flat and sturdy surface to prep on is essential for all cooks. Without a good cooking board, things can get messy quite quickly, or your plates will get scratched. Cutting boards come in all materials ranging from plastic to wood or even glass.

Grater

Whether it’s toasted cheese, egg salad, or any dish that contains cheese sauce, you’ll need a grater. We also recommend getting a fruit grater to make it a lot easier to make your favorite fruit salads.

Check out our favorite Grater here.

Pepper grinder

Having a good pepper grinder adds more flavor to your kitchen. Check out our favorite pepper grinders on Amazon below.

We recommend getting a large pepper grinder, so you won’t have to refill it as much.

Toaster & Kettle Set

No kitchen is complete without a toaster and kettle set. So, no matter whether you’re a tea or coffee person, make sure your kitchen is not missing these two kitchen essentials.

Check out this Toaster & Kettle Set for just $20.

Kitchen Scissors

Yeah, you may get away with regular scissors in some cases. But overall, you’ll need a pair of kitchen scissors for snipping herbs and especially for breaking down poultry.

Pizza Cutter

Again, this one is only for the Pizza lovers – but if that’s you, you’ll definitely need a pizza cutter. It’s just not the same feeling cutting your pizza with knives, and it does sacrifice the presentation aspect.

Colander

A colander is another kitchen essential. No matter your diet, you’ll need a colander to strain foods like paste or rinsing vegetables.

Knife Sharpener

A knife sharpener will save you lots of money in the long run, as you won’t have to invest in additional knives.

Knife sharpeners start at as little as $10 and will help your cuts stay nice and smooth, so it’s definitely a kitchen essential.
