Best Meat Slicers Buying Guide

Best Meat Slicers

When looking at the best meat slicers on the internet, you must take the time to review each one carefully. We have put together a list of features and criteria to consider as you look into these machines.

Housing

You’ll find that the best meat slicers on the market offer an extremely sturdy and reliable construction that will last. Many of them are made of stainless steel, which is corrosion-resistant and easy to clean. If you want to get your money’s worth with one of these machines, you will definitely need to keep this in mind.

These days a lot of companies that manufacture these machines add chromium plating to the housing. This makes them resistant to extremely high or low temperatures. It will give you an extra layer of durability that is definitely nice.

Blades

Some of the best meat slicers have a two-blade design to enhance the overall efficiency of the machine. You’ll want to consider getting one that has a regular blade as well as a serrated blade. This will make it easier for you to slide through the toughest foods with ease.

Pay attention to the material of the blades as well. Stainless steel blades are always a great choice, as they tend to retain their sharpness over the long term. You’ll also find that these blades are easy to clean and require very little maintenance overall.

The size of the blades is something else that is going to matter quite a bit. We recommend buying a meat slicer that offers a 7.5 to 8.5 inch blade. The larger the blade is, the easier it will be to cut through virtually any foods with no issues at all.

There are quite a few meat slicer machines online that are compatible with a variety of blades. Buying one of these models will ensure that you’ll always get your needs met on a consistent basis.

Customization

If you want to get precision performance from your new meat slicer, you’ll have to buy one that features a thickness dial. This dial will let you choose the thickness of each slice.

Take the time to find out how many different thickness options you will have with each of these products. The very best meat slicers will allow you to make cuts that are paper thin to nearly an inch thick.

Safety Features

There are actually quite a few safety features you should look for in the best meat slicers. This includes rubber feet on the bottom of the machine. These feet should have suction cups that stick firmly to just about any flat surface. You’ll never have to worry about it moving around as you are slicing.

A lot of electric meat slicers also feature a recessed switch for powering the machine on and off. This helps prevent accidents that could potentially result in serious injuries. There are other models that require you to press on a button while activating the switch. This makes it difficult for children to start up the machine.

You’ll find that a blade ring guard is something else that can help prevent unfortunate kitchen accidents. This is a seemingly small but crucial feature to focus on while doing your research.

Motor

A powerful motor can go a long way towards helping you prepare incredible meals with minimal effort. The best meat slicers tend to have a 180 to 240 watt motor that allows for ultra-efficient slicing.

If you are planning on cutting up any thick or tough ingredients, this is something you should definitely focus on. The wattage of the machine’s motor will help you get your needs met.

Cleaning and Maintenance

You’ll also want to find out just how easy each of the best meat slicers is to clean and maintain. It is a good idea to look for ones that can be taken apart quickly and easily. This will make cleaning the various moving parts a lot less of a chore.

As we mentioned above, stainless steel is easy to clean and maintain. You’ll therefore want to look for slicers that feature all steel parts. A simple ring guard cover can really help with keeping out debris, which in turn reduces the need for regular cleaning.

Size

Don’t forget to find out the overall size of each meat slicer you look into online. If you don’t have much room to spare in your kitchen, this certainly is a relevant piece of information to consider.

Some of the best meat slicers available today have a lightweight design that is at least fairly compact. The fact is that you can get a powerful and efficient machine without having to settle for one that is huge and bulky.

Warranty

Spend some time looking at what kind of warranty you will get with each of these meat slicers. It is a good idea to make sure that the warranty lasts for at least one year. This will provide you with peace of mind, and it can potentially save you some money.

Conclusion

In order to make the right decision with the best meat slicers online, you’ll need to look for one that has a sturdy construction.

It’s also important that you find a machine that has a powerful and efficient design. This will ensure consistently reliable performance that will never let you down.

Sedhoom Direct Vegetable Chopper

To begin our review list, we wanted a really high-quality vegetable chopper. While there are a lot of very good options out there, the one that we decided to settle on was the Sedhoom Direct Vegetable Chopper.

There are a lot of really good things to like about the Sedhoom and we think that after reading through this review, you will see why we consider to be the overall best vegetable chopper.

To begin, we have to mention how versatile of a product this is. Much later on when we do our associated buying guide, we will be talking about how important it is to ensure that you get a versatile vegetable cutter and the Sedhoom Direct Vegetable Chopper is a perfect example of what we are talking about.

This chopper comes with a variety of different blades (4 in total), each of which produces a different style of cut. Swapping out the blades is fairly simple as well.

The quality of the various blades is extremely high as well. Each blade is extremely sharp and also exceptionally durable. So, you shouldn’t have to bother replacing this vegetable chopper for a while, even if you happen to use it quite a lot.

Really the only hang up that we have with this vegetable chopper has to do with the cost of this product. Is this an overly expensive vegetable chopper, you may be wondering?

Not really, but we will say that the chopper is a bit pricier than the average option that you are going to find on our list. So, while it isn’t particularly expensive on its own, you should be aware that there are cheaper options out there that offer similar performance (although the sheer number of blades that this chopper comes with still makes it an attractive option).

Pros
  • Comes with a variety of blade options.
  • Can make a bunch of different cuts.
  • Large container for storing the cut veggies.
  • One of the best vegetable choppers on the market.
Cons
  • There are cheaper options out there.

Mueller Austria Pro-Series 8 Blade Vegetable Slicer

For the next review on our best vegetable chopper list, we want to take a look at one of the best vegetable choppers/slicers that you are going to get on the market right now, which is the Mueller Austria Pro-Series 8 Blade Vegetable Slicer.

This is a seriously high-quality kitchen tool that isn’t anywhere near as pricey as you would think based on the quality and design of it.

As you can gather from the product name, the Mueller is an Austrian brand, meaning that it uses both high-quality German engineering and high-quality German materials to create an extremely efficient and effective chopping machine.

We are serious when you use the Mueller for the first time you will be amazed at just how easily it slices through even the toughest, thickest vegetables. If you hate chopping vegetables, this device will ensure that you never have to do that again.

Despite all of these good things that we have mentioned, the Mueller is not a particularly expensive vegetable slicer. With all the extra costs included (such as taxes and shipping), you probably won’t be spending much more than $30. Is that cheap? No, but it also isn’t particularly expensive either. When you add in the quality that you are getting, it ends up being more than worth it.

As we have stated before in this review, the Mueller is a fairly complicated kitchen tool (at least when you compare it to your average vegetable chopper, which are usually pretty simple all things considered).

This ends up resulting in two things that you have to deal with. The first is the fact that the vegetable chopper is a bit trickier to take apart (which you have to do to clean it) than we would like.

The second thing is the fact that it does mean that getting the hang of the vegetable slicer can be a bit tricker than normal. Again, don’t get us wrong, using the Mueller isn’t rocket science or anything like that, but it is a bit more complex than it might seem at first.

Pros
  • Uses sharp, durable blades.
  • Cuts through even very tough veggies with ease.
  • Well-designed and durable.
  • Makes use of high-quality German engineering.
Cons
  • A very complicated kitchen tool.
  • Can be tricky to assembled and disassemble for cleaning.

Yeaki Powerful Hand Held Vegetable Chopper

For the next review we want to change things up a bit on this list by taking a look at the Yeaki Vegetable Chopper. This is a unique option for two reasons, both of which are going to be discussing in this review.

But just in general, we want to start out by saying that two of the main attractions of this vegetable chopper are its price and its overall simplicity. In terms of how much you will be spending on this product, you should be expecting to pay about $15 or so for it.

For those of you who have been keeping track, that makes the Yeaki the cheapest vegetable chopper on our list. If you are trying to penny pinch, this is the option for you. The second thing that we want to mention is that this is an extremely simple product to use.

While none of the vegetable choppers that we have reviewed have been complicated or anything like that, this one ends up standing out for just how simple it is. Of course, we also have to mention that it does a good job performance wise. The blades are sharp and easily cut through thick skinned items.

Earlier on we mentioned that the Yeaki Vegetable Chopper has two unique things about it. First off, this vegetable chopper is designed to work differently (you have to crank the blades as opposed to pushing them down). Secondly, it is a smaller, more compact option.

Something that we will say about this vegetable chopper is that it is a bit trucker to use than basically any other entry that has appeared on our best vegetable chopper review list. The reason for this is that while the other options on our list were very simple to use “top down” models (meaning that you push the blades down on top of the vegetable).

With this vegetable chopper, you have to actually manually turn the blades yourself (kind of like one of those salad mixers that you see in some places). It isn’t a particularly big change, but it does require a bit more muscle to be used.

Pros
  • Smaller and more compact than your average chopper.
  • Decent blade quality and speed.
  • One of the more inexpensive vegetable choppers.
Cons
  • Does require a bit more hand power than the other options.

WIMAHA Vegetable Chopper

Those of you looking for a sort of vegetable chopper “set” as opposed to just a singular product will want to take a look at the WIMAHA Vegetable Chopper. While some of the other products that we have taken a look at on this list have come with some extras, none of them even come close to this one in that regard. This chopper comes with well over a dozen extra components.

It also isn’t just the standard components that you would expect either (like different blades), you also get things like a mandolin attachment and a safety glove to prevent potential finger slicing. Given that the whole package costs under $40, you are getting an absolutely fantastic deal. It ends up being a pretty budget friendly option as well when you consider how much some other, similar packages will cost you.

While it is hard to find any real downsides to the WIMAHA Vegetable Chopper, we do think that there is one minor, but also potentially annoying flaw, and it has to do with the number of components and extras that come with the chopper.

Certainly, having all those extras can be quite a bonus, it does also drastically increase the complexity of the product and it also means that it becomes a whole lot easier for you to potentially lose them as well.

Pros
  • Has lots of extras.
  • Good quality components.
  • Great value.
Cons
  • Comes with a lot of smaller complements that can get lost.

Fullstar Cutter Veggie Spiralizer

To end off our review list, we want to talk about the Fullstar Cutter Veggie Spiralizer. We think that this is a great option to end off our search for the best vegetable chopper because this is yet another option that, while quite pricey all things considered, also happens to be another extremely well-made vegetable chopper that we think everyone should check out.

As is the case with basically every high-quality vegetable chopper, this one is equipped with some extremely sharp, tough steel blades. We have consistently emphasized why this is important to look for and the Fullstar Cutter Veggie Spiralizer definitely doesn’t disappoint in this category.

Another feature that we have emphasized quite a bit is the importance of having multiple blades on your chopper. You don’t want a kitchen tool like this to only be able to produce one type of cut.

You want to be able to swap out blades and produce 3 or 4 different types of cuts at the very least. This vegetable chopper accomplished that and more. It is also worth noting that it comes with an extra large storage container as well.

As we talked about at the very beginning of this review, the Fullstar is definitely on the pricier side of things and in fact, we would go so far as to say that this is probably going to be a bit too pricey for some of you out there. For the record, you can expect to be spending about $60 or so on this vegetable chopper, which is on the higher side for this sort of kitchen product.

Obviously, we imagine that many of you will be able to look past the price due to the very high quality of the product. So, how much of a hinderance the price ends up being comes down to your own personal preferences.

Pros
  • Easily swappable blades.
  • Uses high-end blades.
  • Remains sharp for a long time.
  • Extremely large storage container.
Cons
  • Probably a bit too expensive for some.

Vegetable Chopper Buying Guide

Best Vegetable Chopper 2021

We decided that one of the best ways to help everyone out, aside from just reviewing some of the vegetable choppers that we personally consider to be the best, would be by doing a buying guide.

As you might be able to guess, the purpose of this buying guide is quite simple, we are going to be talking about vegetable choppers in the abstract.

Rather than reviewing and focusing in on individual products, we are going to be taking a look at these products as a whole. In particular, we are going to be focusing in on the things that we consider to be most important when it comes to evaluating whether a certain vegetable chopper is good or not.

Blade Quality and Durability

There is really nothing that is more important to the overall quality of the vegetable chopper than the quality of the blades on the device. You really want to make sure that the chopper that you use has super sharp and very durable stainless steel blades. They need to be able to slice through tough vegetable skins easily, so that you have to do even less work.

Likewise, you want to make sure that the blades are durable because you can’t really replace the blades on a vegetable chopper, you essentially just have to buy a new one. So, once the blades start to dull, the product becomes essentially useless. Getting blades that stay sharp is of extreme importance for this reason.

A Storage Container

Another feature that we would say is downright essential is a good sized storage container. Although there are plenty of vegetable choppers out there that don’t have storage containers (and indeed we have reviewed a few options without them on our list), they really do make your life even easier.

You don’t have to worry about cleaning up as the all chopped vegetables go into the container and it also makes it easy to make things like salsa.

Having A Variety Of Chopping Styles

In our mind, one of the most important things to look for in a vegetable chopper is having a variety of chopping styles to pick from. Different dishes often require vegetables to be chopped in a certain way.

For one meal, you may want thinly sliced vegetables, while for another meal, you may want diced vegetables. A good vegetable chopper is one that lets you quickly and easily switch out blades so that you can do exactly the sort of chopping that you need to do. Also, it doesn’t hurt if the vegetable slicer comes with a variety of blades so that you don’t have to buy the extras on your own.

How Cheap It Is

Before ending off our buying guide, we want to talk about the price of these products in general and what you should know about prices before buying. On the surface, vegetable choppers seem like items that you shouldn’t be spending too much on.

After all, they are specialty tools that only really do one thing (chopping vegetables and potentially some other items), so spending too much on a single use product like that is generally not a great idea. At the same time, we would caution you about going for the absolute cheapest option.

When it comes to vegetable choppers, even an amount as low as $10 can make an absolutely massive difference in the quality of the product. Vegetable choppers can either be insanely durable (meaning that they last for years) or they break after just a couple of months.

So, do yourself a favor and try to get one in the $30 to $50 range. We know that this can seem pricey at the beginning, but you will be thanking yourself down the line when your vegetable chopper still works perfectly after 2 years.

TeChef Tamagoyaki Japanese Omelette Pan

To start off our best omelette pan list, we are going to be doing a review of a fairly unconventional and pretty uniquely designed omelette pan, which is the TeChef Tamagoyaki Japanese Omelette Pan.

A lot of what makes this cookware unique is stated right in the name of the product, but we want to go more in-depth in this review so that you can see why we decided to include it.

Without a doubt the main thing to note about this cookware is that has a unique shape to it. Japanese style omelettes are designed to be square shaped instead of traditional rounded omelettes that you often see in the West. Square shaped omelettes do have their advantages.

First off, the shape tends to make the egg a lot easier to flip. Secondly, they can hold more filling without bursting, so you can get a truly stuffed omelette. Finally, the square shape helps to promote even cooking and a thicker omelette overall.

Of course, the TeChef doesn’t just rely on its gimmick, it is a very solid piece of cookware overall. It is made from great heat conducting metal. It also heats quite evenly. All of these are things that you want to hear when it comes to finding a good omelette pan.

We will throw out a note of caution regarding the price of this pan as it is on the higher side. While it isn’t outrageously expensive or anything like that (especially given the quality of the product), we do have to warn you that the price of this pan ends up being in the roughly $60 range, which is pricey for an individual piece of cookware.

Pros
  • Makes you able to produce unique Japanese omelettes.
  • Great overall design, very intuitive.
  • Square design promotes even heating.
  • Makes it easier to roll and fold omelette.
Cons
  • Pretty expensive for a single piece of cookware.

Starunder Induction Nonstick Omelette Pan

For this next review on our best omelette pan list, we are going to be taking a look at a more traditional omelette pan option, which is the Starunder Induction Nonstick Omelette Pan. This is a fairly simple piece of cookware, but it is also a very solid product overall and one that we have no issues recommending.

As we talked about in the introduction, the Starunder Induction Nonstick Omelette Pan is a very good cookware option.

For example, consider that the bottom of this pan is equipped with an extremely conductive aluminum alloy on the bottom, so you can rest assured that your omelette will always be cooked properly.

It also comes with a wooden handle, which is nice because the handle both provides a very good grip on the cookware and it also doesn’t absorb heat (like a metal or plastic handle might), so there is less of a risk of burning yourself. Finally, while this may seem like a very small feature, we do appreciate that this pan also comes with a lid.

While this is a fairly standard piece of cookware, it does have one somewhat unique aspect to it, which is its stone coating. Now, that may sound strange at first, but it is somewhat more common than you would expect.

See, stone coatings are actually very effective at creating a good nonstick cooking surface without having to rely on any sort of chemicals. If you want to make cooking the perfect omelette even easier, this pan offers a great feature for that.

The only real flaw with the Starunder Induction Nonstick Omelette Pan that we want to talk about also has to do with probably the most unique aspect of this pan, which is the fact that this pan doesn’t come assembled. This may sound odd for cookware, but you have to actually put it together yourself. It isn’t a particularly big deal, but it is a bit of an annoyance.

Pros
  • Comes with a lid.
  • Useful wooden handle doesn’t get hot.
  • The pan as a whole heats very well.
  • Produces consistently perfect omelettes.
Cons
  • Pan needs to be assembled.

TECHEF Frittata and Omelette Pan

For this next review, we are going to be taking a look at a more unique omelette pan option in the form of the TECHEF Frittata and Omelette Pan.

As you can just tell right off the bat, this is a pretty unique pan (at least when you look at the typical option on this list). Given how popular frittatas are, we figured that this would be a good candidate for inclusion on this list.

The TECHEF is what is called a frittata pan, meaning it has two different miniature pans that can be folded on top of each other. The idea behind the pan is that you cook eggs in each pan, put your toppings in one of them, then flip the pans onto each other. This seals the frittata without forcing you to have to manually flip the egg (which could potentially break the egg).

Aside from the gimmick, this is a pretty well-made pan overall. Each side of the pan is coated with Teflon, which ensures a seamless cooking experience. You don’t have to worry that your egg is going to be sticking to the side of the pan and burning. It also has nice features like durable, heat-resistant stainless steel.

While the unique flip design of this pan is obviously a big reason why you even want to bother getting it, we do have to admit that it can cause some issues in certain situations.

For example, cleaning the pan can be a bit more of a hassle when compared to some other pans because you have to clean two separate, smaller areas. Another example is when it comes to storage, since the divide line in the pan prevents you from stacking other pans on top of this one. These are minor issues, but they are still something that you need to consider.

Pros
  • Heats evenly, despite having two pans.
  • Stainless steel handles don’t heat up.
  • Makes it easier to make frittatas and stuffed omelettes.
Cons
  • Unique design can be a bit of a hassle sometimes.

Carote Nonstick Skillet Frying Pan

One thing that we think has really been missing from our best omelette pan review list has been a more affordable option.

Now, this needs some heavy qualification. We don’t think that any of the options that have appeared or that will appear on this review list have been “overly expensive.”

At the same time, we do recognize that when buying a specialty piece of cookware like an omelette pan, you probably don’t want to spend a ton as you aren’t going to be getting a ton of use out of it when compared to other, more general types of cookware. There are many good budget friendly options out there, but the one that we ultimately settled on reviewing was the Carote Nonstick Skillet Frying Pan.

The first thing that we should discuss about this frying pan is how much it costs (since we made a big deal about this product’s price). The Carote Nonstick Skillet Frying Pan only costs you about $13 or so (it may get a bit higher depending on local taxes and shipping).

This makes the Carote easily the cheapest omelette pan on our review list. It ends up being a very good option for anyone who already has a pretty well-equipped kitchen and who just wants a cheap, small piece of cookware.

Given that this is an inexpensive product, that does come with some sacrifices. The first is the fact that the pan’s granite coating does scratch quite a bit easier than other, higher-end pans with similar coatings (like the Starunder Induction Nonstick Omelette Pan).

The second issue is that the frying pan is a bit on the smaller size. While omelettes don’t exactly require large pans, having more cooking space to work with is never a bad thing.

Pros
  • Quality is good for the price.
  • Decent, all-natural nonstick coating.
  • Cheapest pan on our review list.
Cons
  • Does scratch quite easily.
  • A bit on the smaller side.

Calphalon Signature Omelette Pan

To end off our list, we are going to be reviewing another extremely good omelette pan, but also one that is admittedly quite pricey. We are talking about the Calphalon Signature Omelette Pan.

Some of you may be familiar with this brand because Calphalon actually has a reputation for producing quite high-quality cookware of all different stripes and this pan is a great example of what they are capable of.

To begin with, this pan really excels when it comes to encouraging even heating. We have talked many times during the course of this review list about why it is so important, so we won’t bother explaining it again.

All you need to know is that the Calphalon Signature Omelette Pan is equipped with some very heavy duty aluminum, which is not only very tough, but which also does an amazing job of ensuring that every single inch of the pan is heated to the exact same temperature.

On that note, we should also talk about how well-made this pan is in general. Every bit of the Calphalon Signature Omelette Pan is built strong and built to last. We have already talked about the really heavy duty aluminum that is used on the bottom of the pan, but we haven’t talked about the rest of the pan.

Well, it is made using the same sort of high-quality metals that the bottom of the pan is made of. Make no mistake about it, if you want an omelette pan that is going to be around for a very long time, then this option from Calphalon is one of the best pans that you can get.

Going back to something that we mentioned at the start of this review, the main problem with this pan ends up being its price.

As is the case with a few of the other omelette pans that we have reviewed as part of this article, this one is quite expensive when you consider that it is ultimately just an individual piece of cookware. Whether this cookware is still worth it in spite of its higher than usual price point will ultimately come down to you and what you are looking for in an omelette pan.

Pros
  • Designed to be very durable.
  • Uses heavy gauge aluminum.
  • Distributes heat across the pan easily.
Cons
  • Another quite pricey omelette pan.

Omelette Pan Buying Guide

Best Omelette Pan

While we may have finished the review section of our article, that isn’t everything that we have to show you. In the next section of this article, we are going to be doing our buying guide.

This guide isn’t going to be comprehensive or anything like that, but what it will do is give you some helpful tips and advice that will make it a bit easier for you to pick out a good omelette pan all on your own.

Obviously, you can pick any of the products from our review list and be satisfied with that purchase, but we figure that this list may become out of date, and we also figure that some of you may not like any of our choices. In both of those cases, this guide should come in handy for telling you what to look for when buying an omelette pan.

Know Your Nonstick Coating

Getting a nonstick coating on your pan is fine and for something like an omelette pan, it is even encouraged since it helps to make the process of cooking the omelette easier.

However, you should know something about the different types of nonstick coatings. Many of the coatings sold on commercial cookware aren’t very good and they tend to wear off quite quickly, which ends up making the pan a lot harder to use.

We would heavily recommend looking for either a natural nonstick coating or looking for a pan that is made from a naturally nonstick material.

A prime example of what we are talking about are the Carote Nonstick Skillet Frying Pan and the Starunder Induction Nonstick Omelette Pan, both of which use a granite coating. Granite is a material that is both nonstick and very durable, so it is great for something like an omelette pan.

Shape

As you saw from our review list, there is a surprising amount of diversity in how omelette pans are shared. Obviously, there are the classic and familiar round options, but there are also omelette pans that are shaped like domes (as opposed to being flat), pans that are square shaped (those are the Japanese style pans that we talked about), and finally there are omelette pans that can be split down the middle (frittata pans).

Of the various different shapes, we would recommend going for a square shaped pan, as these make the best omelettes and they are also the easiest to cook with. Of course, you can ultimately pick whatever shape that you like best.

Aluminum Base

Regardless of what shape that you go for, you need to make sure that the pan that you pick has an aluminum base. We know that we talked a lot about this in our review list, but we want to quickly go over it once again in this buying guide because of just how important of a concept this is.

Aluminum as a material is the absolute best thing that you can use in cookware because of how good of a job it does at conducting heat. Good heat conduction means that the heat gets evenly spread across the pan, which is the secret to a good omelette.

Thankfully, most cookware, whether it be cheap or expensive, uses aluminum so finding an omelette pan with an aluminum base couldn’t be easier. Ideally, you want the cookware to use high-quality aluminum as well since this will help to keep the pan durable and also ensure that it maintains its shape (this is important since you also want your omelette pan to be quite flat as well.

Conclusion

Those of you who may still happen to have some questions can leave a comment below with your question. Likewise, we encourage everyone to leave us feedback regarding our best omelette pan review list.

IMUSA USA B120-42V Aluminum Stovetop Espresso Maker

The first stovetop espresso maker that we want to do a review of is a nice, affordable option that will be good for anyone who has come to our list seeking a very simple espresso maker that offers a good alternative to the more complicated machines that most others use.

Even though it has a very long name that sounds complex, rest assured that there is no simpler kitchen appliance than the IMUSA USA B120-42V Aluminum Stovetop Espresso Maker. We should also say from the start that this is a perfect budget option, as the whole thing costs under $10, which for the quality that you get is a steal.

To start, this espresso maker is made from fairly lightweight aluminum. While this aluminum design can pose some problems (that we will talk about later on), it also has a lot of advantages to it. For starters, aluminum is a great conductor of heat, so the espresso maker does a very good job of heating up quickly, ensuring that you get your espresso quickly in the mornings.

Secondly, aluminum is a very light material, which obviously translates to a light espresso maker overall. While those of you using this at home may not care all that much about weight, it is still a nice thing to have overall.

Although the aluminum design of this espresso maker does help to keep the product quite affordable and very light, it does come with some issues that we need to discuss. For starters, aluminum does tend to scuff and scratch quite easily.

Secondly, and this probably isn’t all that surprising given how much it costs, but the IMUSA USA B120-42V Aluminum Stovetop Espresso Maker is prone to denting. It isn’t necessarily a reason to avoid this product or anything of that nature, but it does mean that you should probably exercise a good amount of caution when using this stovetop espresso maker.

Pros
  • Lightweight aluminum design.
  • Very comfortable and easy to use.
  • Aluminum base heats up evenly.
  • Extremely affordable.
Cons
  • Aluminum is prone to denting and scuffing.

Bialetti Moka Express Stovetop Espresso Maker

To follow-up that last review, we want to take a look at a slightly more expensive espresso maker. We figured that since the first option that we reviewed was quite inexpensive and fairly simple (in terms of design anyway), that it would be a good idea to review the Bialetti Moka Express Stovetop Espresso Maker.

The Italian name of the product is probably a dead giveaway, but we really want to emphasize how much of an improvement this particular espresso maker is over the other entry that we reviewed. Of course, there is a corresponding price increase, but this is also probably one of the best stovetop espresso makers that you are going to find on the market today.

So, what exactly is it about the Bialetti Moka Express Stovetop Espresso Maker that makes it so worthy of all the praise that we have been heaping on it? There are quite a few good features that we think we could mention, but let’s start with what is probably the most important aspect of any espresso maker, which is the material that it is made out of.

While the Bialetti Moka is only made from simple aluminum, don’t think that it is the same sort of quality aluminum as the IMUSA that we reviewed earlier. This espresso maker definitely uses better quality aluminum that is a lot more durable and that also heats up quite easily as well.

Another aspect where this espresso maker really shine is when it comes to how easy it is to use. Whether it be the ergonomic, heat resistant handle, or just the general design of the pot (which is also very ergonomic), this is a high-quality product that produces great espresso. Definitely worth the somewhat high asking price, at least in our opinion (and we are suer serious old school espresso lovers will agree).

Pros
  • Ergonomic handle.
  • Handle also resists heat.
  • Made from high-quality aluminum.
  • Great heat conduction and high durability.
Cons
  • One of the more expensive espresso makers that we have reviewed on this list.

LuxHaus Stovetop Espresso Maker

Next up on our review list, we are going to once again be reviewing another fairly pricey, but also quite well-made stovetop espresso maker.

This time the product is from LuxHaus, which isn’t necessarily a household name, but it is a brand that you might have heard of before. They tend to make pretty solid products overall and that is certainly the case with the LuxHaus Stovetop Espresso Maker.

We think the best part about this espresso maker (aside from how well it heats up of course) is just how sleek of a design it has. It is equipped with this very smooth, tough exterior. It is both very functional and very stylish. Even though it has a more modern look, its shiny stainless steel coating ensures that you can put it at the front and centre of any collection.

Pros
  • Sleek exterior.
  • Extremely strong.
  • Distributes heat evenly.
Cons
  • Yet another pricey stovetop espresso maker.

GROSCHE Milano Stovetop Espresso Maker

The next espresso maker that we want to review as part of our list is easily the most unique looking option that we have looked at so far (at least from a style perspective). The GROSCHE Milano Stovetop Espresso Maker definitely stands out from the many other espresso makers that we have reviewed for a few different reasons.

With its white exterior and wooden handle, there is no doubt that this particular stovetop espresso maker is really going to stand out. It is this unique design that really drew us to this option and we think that it would be the perfect option for any sort of coffee based collection or centrepiece.

At the same time, the GROSCHE isn’t just a pretty face, it is just as functional as any of the other options that we have looked at. It heats quickly, thoroughly, and evenly. It produces great espresso (when used correctly). Finally, it is just very comfortable to use. So, there isn’t much more to ask for.

The most unique thing about the GROSCHE Milano Stovetop Espresso Maker and what we really want to draw your attention to is its wooden handle. This is both a blessing and a curse for this particular coffee pot.

On the one hand, the wooden handle is a great idea because wood doesn’t retain all that much internal heat, so you are less likely to burn your hand when making coffee. On the other hand, the wood does seem to get worn out quite quickly and it will start to fade quite heavily.

Pros
  • Great for a centrepiece.
  • Perfect for display at dinner parties.
  • Very functional.
  • Wooden handle doesn’t retain heat.
  • Unique design and color.
Cons
  • Wooden handle gets worn out quickly.

Godmorn Stovetop Espresso Maker

To cap off this best stovetop espresso maker review list, we wanted to look at another very affordable stovetop espresso maker.

Look, we know that these aren’t particularly expensive products, but everyone loves to save a few bucks and you can often save $20 or $30 by going with a cheaper stovetop model (all without losing much in terms of performance), so we definitely wanted at least a few budget friendly options on this list. The next cheaper option that we are going to be taking a look at is the Godmorn Stovetop Espresso Maker.

Really, there isn’t much to this espresso maker. It isn’t unique or anything like that, it is just a solid little product that is available for under $20. It does exactly what you need it do without costing you all that much, which is all that you need from a stovetop espresso maker.

Our only complaint with the Godmorn Stovetop Espresso Maker has nothing to do with how the actual product performs and everything to do with how it looks.

That may sound strange, but the way that we look at it (and we will elaborate more on this in our buying guide), when someone invests in a stovetop espresso, they want it to stand out. These are meant to be decorative items as much as they are meant to be functioning coffee makers.

Sadly, the Godmorn Stovetop Espresso Maker has an extremely bland, modern look that makes it look almost like a thermos. Still, if you don’t care about looks at all, then this is still a fantastic purchase.

Pros
  • Cheap.
  • Reliable.
  • Good quality for what you pay.
Cons
  • A fairly bland appearance.

Stovetop Espresso Maker Buying Guide

Best Stovetop Espresso Maker

Buying a stove top espresso maker is a lot easier than buying an espresso machine, especially given how complicated some of those home espresso machines can be these days.

However, it is also undeniable that stovetop espresso makers are fairly uncommon when compared to machines, so for at least a few of you, this is going to be your first time buying a stovetop model; we would also imagine that there are a lot of people who are on the fence about buying one of these, given how rare they are.

So, we figured that it was a good idea to supplement our product reviews with a buying guide. This buying guide will do two things. Firstly, we are going to explain the appeal and benefits of stovetop espresso makers when compared with automated appliances. Secondly, we are going to explain a few of the different things to look for in a stovetop espresso maker.

Benefits of Going With A Stovetop Model

As we said earlier, the first thing that we want to cover is what exactly the benefits are of going with a stovetop model like the type that we reviewed above. We especially want to do this as we feel said benefits aren’t necessarily going to be apparent.

Great Savings

Obviously, the biggest benefit of going with a stovetop espresso maker is the fact that it costs a lot less. Automatic espresso machines vary quite a lot in price these days, but even in this day and age, you aren’t going to find a good one for under $100 to $120. Now, compare that price to the average price of a stovetop model and you start to see the price savings in action.

Even the most expensive stovetop espresso machine on our list never exceeded $50 (give or take a few bucks). And of course, this is putting it quite conservatively. Many high-end espresso machines can end up costing you $300 or $400, in which case you will end up saving even more money.

They Require Less Hassle

Another major point in favor of stovetop models is how little effort they require when compared to automatic machines.

Now, this point requires a bit of explanation since we know that a lot of you are seeing this and scratching your head, after all, aren’t automatic espresso machines supposed to make your life easier? What you have to consider is that automatic machines require a surprising amount of maintenance.

They have to be cleaned quite often and that always ends up being a major hassle since you have to pull apart the machine (and this isn’t even touching on some of the other maintenance that you will have to do). In comparison, a stovetop model requires significantly less work; and the only cleanup is very easy since the whole thing is just a metal container.

They Are More Stylish

Finally, while we know that not everyone will necessarily care about this, but we do want to say that one small benefit of stovetop models is that they are just a lot more stylish than boring old automatic models.

A good looking stovetop espresso maker has a unique look that is both sleek and old school at the same time; they make the perfect centrepiece of a China collection or a collection of coffee cups.

Some Things To Look For In An Espresso Maker

Next up we want to cover some of the things that you should be looking for in an old school espresso maker.

What Material It Is Crafted From

First off, you want to consider what material the espresso maker is crafted from. Like most pots, espresso makers can be made from a pretty wide variety of different metals, with the two most common being stainless steel and aluminum (or often some mixture between the two).

Comparing the two materials is quite easy, steel is more durable, while aluminum is lighter, cheaper, and heats a bit more evenly. You can probably tell just from this description which of the two materials we would recommend going for.

Overall Design And Shape

While the overall design and shape of the espresso maker doesn’t have an impact on how the product actually works, we would still recommend going for more of an old school look just because a big part of the reason why you even bother trying this type of product in the first place is because you kind of want them to stand out in a collection.

More modern looking espresso makers, while they are still very functional, just don’t stand out quite as well.

A Heat Resistant Handle Is Essential

Finally, you want to look out for the feature that we would recommend the most, which is a heat resistant handle.

You have to remember that these products are used directly on a hot stove and so the handle will get hot as well (especially for making espresso, which requires higher temperatures). A heat resistant handle is not only going to let you make your espresso quicker, but it is also going to cut down on accidental burnings.

Conclusion

As we have said a few times before during the course of this article these aren’t exactly common products anymore (even if they should be) so we imagine that a few of our readers have some questions.

If you want to get those questions answered, or if you want to leave us some feedback regarding our best stovetop espresso maker article, please take the time to leave a comment down.

Best Juicer for Celery

Last Updated September 30, 2021

Best Juicer for Celery

Believe it or not, one of the toughest things for a standard juicer to grind up (aside from pits) is celery. This vegetable packs a lot of nutrition, but it is also pretty bland, which makes it a perfect option for juicing.

Sadly, celery, especially good celery, is also extremely fiberous, meaning that you need the right type of juicer for it, otherwise you are going to have some problems.

This is what the purpose of this article is. We are going to be reviewing some of the best juicer options currently on the market with the goal of finding the best juicer for celery. Our personal recommendation would be the Omega MM900HDS Slow Masticating Celery Juicer.

Omega MM900HDS Slow Masticating Celery Juicer

To begin this review list, we are going to be taking a look at the Omega MM900HDS Slow Masticating Celery Juicer. We wanted to start this list off properly by showing you a really powerful, high-end juicer.

The best option that we could come up with to show you off is the Omega. This isn’t a household name or anything like that, but if you were to use the juicer, you would end up wondering why they aren’t because it is a fantastic product.

This is intended to be a powerful juicer (it needs to be to be able to easily grind up celery after all), and there is no better way to tell this than by looking at the motor on this juicer.

Juicers have their motor’s power output measured in RPMs (at least that is usually how it goes). This juicer boasts an impressive, at least given the type of juicer that it is, 80 RPM. RPM refers to the number of times the blade spins per minute when the juicer is in use. While 80 may not sound especially high, keep in mind that this style of juicer is meant to work slowly and thoroughly, so 80 is actually a pretty good number.

Of course just in general, this is a high-performing, durable juicer. It is going to last for quite a while and more importantly, it will provide roughly the same level of performance for the entire time that you have it.

There are two things that we want to caution you about when it comes to the Omega. The first is that, as you might imagine, this juicer operates slowly. This isn’t surprising to anyone who is familiar with masticating juicers (or who read the name of the product). Still, we did want to make sure that everyone reading this review understands that this isn’t the option to go with if you want something that operates quickly.

The second issue that we want to discuss has to do with its price. Sadly, this juicer does end up being a bit pricier than we would ideally want. Is it super expensive? No, there are definitely more expensive options out there, but for close to $350, this is probably a bit too expensive for some, but on the other hand, we have to admit that the quality of the product warrants it.

Pros
  • Very consistent.
  • Goes slowly and thoroughly to really get all the juice.
  • Tough, durable motor and blades.
  • Achieves 80 RPM.
Cons
  • Fairly expensive as far as juicers go.
  • Does operate very slowly.

Hamilton Beach Juicer Machine

If you want something a bit more affordable, but that still provides fairly reliable performance, then this next product may be the one for you. In this review, we are going to be looking at the Hamilton Beach Juicer Machine.

Now, unlike with that last review, the maker of this next product, Hamilton Beach is quite a famous brand, and we are sure that all of you are familiar with them. Given that they make so many different kinds of kitchen appliances, it isn’t surprising that they offer juicers as part of their impressive array of products.

The Hamilton Beach Juicer Machine is such a good option because it is a very heavy-duty juicer that also happens to be quite affordable, which is rare for a kitchen appliance.

This is a very noisy juicer and a quick look at how much power it outputs will quickly tell you why that is. With an 800 watt motor and a similarly high RPM output, the Hamilton Beach Juicer Machine is able to handle just about any juicing job that you can throw at it, and of course, it absolutely tears though celery.

When you are done using it, you will be glad to know that this juicer ends up being extremely easy to clean. Everything comes apart very easily and basically every single component can be cleaned in a dishwasher.

Now, we have mentioned quite a few good things about this juicer in our review, but probably the most impressive thing about the Hamilton Beach is how little it ends up costing you. You might assume that this is quite a pricey option all things considered, but that doesn’t end up being the case here. This juicer only ends up being priced at around $70, which is very good for a juicer of this quality.

Pros
  • Every component is dishwasher safe.
  • Powerful motor rated for 800 watts.
  • High RPM.
  • Large feed chute.
Cons
  • High RPM and high wattage motor produces a lot of noise.

HOMEVER Celery Juicer

The next juicer that we want to look at is the HOMEVER Celery Juicer. Now, those readers who have been following along diligently with our review list will no doubt remember that the first option that we reviewed was the Omega MM900HDS.

We quite liked that masticating juicer, but we also noted that it was on the pricier side. Well, the HOMEVER has a very similar design, and it offers similar performance, all while being quite a bit easier on your wallet. In our view, this makes it a natural option for inclusion on our best juicer for celery list.

As you have come to expect from these types of juicers, they do a very good job of thoroughly extracting every bit of juice and every single nutrient from your fruits and veggies. Also, because it is a slow acting masticating juicer, it obviously does a great job of slowly grinding up the tough fibres found inside celery, which ensures that the juicer should last for quite a while.

One of the best things about the HOMEVER is how much cheaper it is. It has a price tag of around $120, given or take a few dollars. On its own that doesn’t scream “affordable,” but you have to really consider the quality of the juicer. Given that this is a fairly high-quality masticating juicer, the fact that it is over $100+ cheaper than the last masticating juicer is a really big point in favor of this particular option.

The only real problem with this juicer that we feel a need to mention has to do with the feed chute on this juicer. For those of you who don’t know what this is, the feed chute is the part of the juicer where you put in your fruits and vegetables. A large feed chute because it minimizes the amount of work that you have to do when it comes to prepping the food before you start juicing.

Pros
  • Very good value for the price.
  • Slow juicer extras every ounce of juice.
  • Makes quick work of celery.
  • Comes in a variety of sizes (up to 12 cups).
Cons
  • Feed chute could afford to be a bit bigger.

SIVERY Masticating Juicer

For the next review on our list, we wanted to look at a very affordable juicer option in the form of the SIVERY Masticating Juicer.

So far on this best juicer for celery review list, we have only reviewed one option that we would say qualifies as “affordable,” (the Hamilton Beach option that we reviewed). Given that everyone is trying to be a bit more money conscious these days, we wanted to make sure that we included at least one more affordable option on our list.

Given what we have said about this option, your first question is obviously going to be how much (or rather how little) this juicer costs. You can expect it to end up costing you less than $50, which makes it the most cost effective juicer on this list.

Throw in that the performance that you get from this appliance is fairly good (it is also noteworthy that this is a masticating juicer, which usually cost more) and you have a great, budget friendly appliance.

An issue that we want to talk about when it comes to this juicer has to do with how difficult it can be to clean this juicer. Cleaning isn’t a thing that many people think of when buying an appliance, but you have to remember that with juicers, you have to clean them quite often because the sugar can start to rust away the interior of the juicer.

With some juicers, cleaning is quite easy, but that isn’t the case here and this one ends up being a bit of a hassle to properly clean. Still, the SIVERY Masticating Juicer ends up offering good juicing performance for one of the lowest priced around, which means that it is still worth considering.

Pros
  • Cheapest celery juicer on our list.
  • Very efficient juicing for a low price.
  • Simple to use; push button controls.
Cons
  • Fairly difficult to pull apart for cleaning.

Breville BJE830BSS Cold XL Centrifugal Juicer

For the very last review on our best juicer for celery list, we are going to finish off this list with a product that is similar to the product that we looked at way back at the start of our review list.

The juicer that we are reviewing is the Breville BJE830BSS Cold XL Centrifugal Juicer. Breville is another very popular brand for kitchen appliances and as you would expect, the appliances that they do make are quite good. This is a very high-end juicer and a great appliance for ending off our review list.

Before getting into how the BJE830BSS Cold XL Centrifugal Juicer performs, we want to first talk about the overall great design of this juicer, since that is one of the major strongpoints of this appliance.

We have mentioned before on this article how concerned some people are about the durability of their juicer. Well, you don’t need to have those concerns with this Breville juicer because of just how incredibly well-made it is. With its solid stainless steel casing and high-quality blades, it will simply last for a very long time.

There are two things that we need to mention before we finish off this review. The first is that this is a centrifugal juicer. This means that instead of slowly grinding up the celery (or whatever fruit or veggie you use), a fast spinning blade quickly chops up and grinds the juice.

This has the benefit of being much quicker. The downside is that while it produces a lot of juice, it doesn’t produce quite as much as a masticating juicer would, so that is a drawback that you need to consider.

Pros
  • Designed to last for a while.
  • Offers good juice yield for a centrifugal juicer.
  • Works to grind up fruits and veggies very quickly.
  • Has the power and durability to juice celery with ease.
Cons
  • Doesn’t produce quite as much juice as a masticating juicer.
  • Also fairly pricey.

Juicer for Celery Buying Guide

Best Juicer for Celery

Picking out a juicer isn’t all that tough on its own, but what makes it potentially tougher is the fact that there are quite literally thousands of juicers out there.

Just looking through Amazon will quickly show you just how many juicers there are out there. Why does this matter? Well, it makes it hard to pick out those options that are actually worth the money.

We don’t need to tell you that there are a lot of (and we do mean a lot) very bad appliances out there. There are appliances that break after a few months, appliances that don’t deliver the performance that you need, and much more.

In this article we hope to make your life easier by both reviewing some reliable juicers that you can use, as well as going over what you need to know in order to buy one of those juicers all on your own.

Why You Need A Special Juicer

The first thing that we want to cover in this buying guide is why you even need a special juicer for celery in the first place. We touched on this earlier on in the article, but we wanted to dedicated an entire section to it in our buying guide.

Celery is a great addition to any homemade smoothie or juice. It is surprisingly rich in various vitamins and nutrients, but it is quite bland and difficult to eat on its own.

So, getting it into a juice alongside some tastier items like fruit is a great idea. At the same time, celery can also be quite difficult to juice properly. The reason for this, as we said earlier, is because of the fibres inside the celery.

These tough fibres can actually dull the blades inside some juicers. This is why, unless you want to have to replace your juicer after just a few months, you need the sort of tough appliance that we reviewed on our list.

What To Look For In A Tough Juicer

Naturally, after reading what we wrote above, your next question is likely to be, what exactly goes into finding a tough juicer. We are going to explain just that in this next section of the guide.

Masticating or Centrifugal

The very first thing that we should talk about are the two main types of juicers. As you may recall from our review list, there are generally speaking, two different types of celery juicers.

The first type is the masticating juicer, and the second type is the centrifugal juicer. We didn’t really get a good chance to explain what each type is in our review list, so let’s do it now.

Centrifugal juicers are the faster of the two, they work by spinning an internal blade extremely quickly in order to quickly chop and pulp fruits and veggies. While they are a very common type of juicer, and for good reason, they probably aren’t the juicer type that we would recommend.

Don’t get us wrong, centrifugal juicers can do an amazing job, but because of how tough celery can be to juice, the primary choice should be a masticating option. Masticating juicers use essentially a slow grinding motion to extract juice from fruits and veggies. The slow, grinding method works well with celery for two reasons.

First off, it ensures the maximum amount of juice and nutrients are taken from the food. Secondly, it is a more powerful method for juicing, so even tough foods like celery are grinded up with ease.

Easy To Clean

The other major thing that we would recommend when it comes to buying a good juicer is to get one that you can trust is easy to clean. Cleaning your juicer regularly is extremely important, but it can be quite annoying to do, so finding a juicer that can be easily taken apart and put into a dishwasher is important.
